Mmmmmmm! Sexy wexy nexy new weapons to be custom made for Larp!
You can keep your silly, inaccurate, short ranged throwing daggers. This bad boy is taking to the field with not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, but SIX wheels of misfortune to be liberally lobbed into your ranks, around about head height.
Aerodynamically superior, and quite bouncy, because rebounds count!
Yeah baby! £25 each from Dark Herald Foundry!

If I could afford the kit, I'd give it a bash I guess.
And now, Mr Mystery's Adventures in trying to appreciate Anime #3.
Having been left cold by Full Metal Alchemist, and utterly perplexed by Overfiend, I have tonight selected at random off Netflix Strait Jacket....
Kirsten

Full Metal Alchemist is excellent, Overfiend is a bit tedious. Let me know what sort of thing you might like to watch and I will suggest something you will like

It's all Greek to me for the most part...
Watched Akira when I was a nipper, and I think it spoiled a lot of anime because it was such a good example of its genre.
Strait Jacket is going well for me. Plot makes sense, background well explained, no bloody steam punk (because lazy trope is lazy)....but most of all, the voice acting is good, which I find normally rather touch and go. I appreciate an English dub is limited by the characters mouth movement, and that can mess with things. But when it's just someone reading a script? No ta!
But this......this is quit enjoyable!

I love it, I have never seen anything like this spanish team. nor quite frankly has anyone else. they are several orders of magnitude beyond any other team. only way they wont win the world cup next year is some sort of miracle for the opposing team
wont be another team of this skill in my life time, as close to football perfection as I will ever see. teams like this only come along once in a generation. they play more passes in a single match than most teams play in a whole tournament.

Watercooled, that is so last year. You need total immersion cooling. http://www.bit-tech.net/news/hardware/2013/02/27/iceotope/1
liquid nitrogen is where it's at. saw one system where the cooling system was so cold it could only be used when the machine was running full load like gaming or similar, and was still at zero degrees, if it was just web browsing or idling it was too cold and would damage the machine if not turned off.
Hm one of my brothers friends is a computer bits wholesale selling person, will investigate. Upgrading my PC is one of the very few things I get worried about. Tom's Hardware is the place to go in my opinion, great forum, lots of helpful people and lots of reviews. Pretty much my position. As mentioned previously, saw Akira...erm....23 or so years ago, and it totally blew my mind. Futureshock off the scale. Absolutely fantastic stuff.
Then came....the rest....and to my mind, the vast majority was impenterable drivel, drowning out the few beacons of light.
But now giving it another chance. Ghibli stuff...again, bit hit and miss for me. I don't have a massive understanding of Japanese culture, so a lot of stuff goes over my head. Likely this has a knock on effect! (though I do know about Cherry Blossom representing innocence/virginity)
And I've just emailed GW about the naughty developer. Once you get onto the game's site...not a hint of 40k!

Plus, I've found the recommendations that show up once you've watched something typically include stuff not otherwise listed.
Ah I see.
Yeah they were a little indie tastic, but it is better than Dad Rock FM, where every song has the same blues bass line...
Also look at this one:
http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/simgad/6384740234568479705
I think all radios guilty of that though isn't it?
We have the local station on(apparently CoF aren't appropriate for a work enviroment, like it matters when I'm on my own?ffs) and they play pretty much the same playlist week in week out with a smattering of a dozen or so different songs...

My issue is that it seems to be the epitomy of what is wrong with the rock scene at the moment, no new music coming through because only the familiar is played.
No music at work, though I have just got a free 16Gb microSD card for my phone so I need to decide what music comes onto it to listent to,.

I hooked up my new laptop (recently replaced after an argument and a two hour diagnosis from the Know How people to come to my conculsion and decide that I needed a new one, like I had said when I walked into the shop) and used HDMI cable and a a free month with netflix and watched The Devils Rejects a great Zombie film, much more coherent than House of 1000 Corpses. Wolfshade

Exactly.
Watched some greats. Warning SPOILERS
Thomas and Gordon - Thomas is cheeky to Gordon so ends up being pulled along with the express. Thomas learns to not cheek Gordon.
Edward and Gordon - Edward is discriminated against because of his age. He helps Gordon push a train up a hill and is treated as a valueable member of society again.
The Sad Story of Henry - Henry is vain and refuses to go out in the rain so hides in a tunnel. He is bricked in and left to think about his actions
Edward, Gordon and Henry - Gordon is showing off racing too fast and bursts a value so can't pull the train and breaks by Henry's prison. Edward is the only engine available but the train is too heavy. Henry then agrees to pull it and learns that it is more important to be useful than to look pretty.
Thomas' Train - Thomas is bored of doing his job and is given the chance to pull a train. He is too excited and pulls away without the train. He realises his mistake and embarrased returns to collect the train, learning humility.

I had a long day -.-
after the usual farm work I had to go and repair other people's work. my mother and my sister's boyfriend were replacing windows on one of the houses and decided that the way to do it was to take the frame beading out, and then shoulder barge the glass. with the inevitable result of pane in a thousand pieces, wood frame split, and the screws for one hinge sheared off. I had to spend three hours fixing it all after I would normally have finished, with them disappearing off and leaving it all. promised a barbecue in return and the damn thing hadn't even been lit by the time I finished at 7:30. didn't fancy waiting around another hour and left feeling very tired and hungry. and annoyed.

I ended up watching the Woman in Black (2012) last night and I was quite impressed. Then ended up watching Vampire Diaries, it seemed to me that this was to Twilight as Stairway to Heaven was to Crow, only with crow being a great film in the first place.

Woman in black scarred me ****less. I'm not good with scary films. 20 stone plus man hides behind pillow :o didn't help my little sister kept making me jump too. She kept calling me names.
Good today thanks, currently sat in office drinking relentless, eating some chicken and playing on here. Watched a cool D Day landing prog last night and booked tickets for Man of Steel for Friday. Life's good atm.

I like these negative interviews, where the guest doesn't conform to the rules of the "promotional interview". This makes people involved uncomfortable. Peter Steele did a rather amusing one years ago. Every so often the stars in the reasonable price car suffered a negative interview as they were chatted with rather than ebing asked about their latest product, Wossy also did this from time to time and it was amusing to see the celebrity not coping with this.

I think it happened about 50% of the time for the star in a reasonably priced car. Either talking about interesting car histories, or being educated why they shouldn't have bought that prius...

Tell me about it...
Long hailed as sexy underwear with more than a hint of bad girl, the thong as underwear has gained a lot of acceptance and popularity in the last five years. With the rise (pun intended) of low-rise jeans, a hint of thong riding up became a fashion statement in the under thirty crowd. At least, one hopes it was only the under thirty crowd that adopted this trend.
Personally, I've been wearing a thong since I first discovered them about twenty years ago. Yes, that was roughly about the time the round wheel was invented, too. I loved wearing a thong or it's sister, the G-string, for many reasons. I liked feeling sexy and kind of bad. They didn't take up much room in the dresser drawer. They could fit in your purse without falling out when you were digging for gum or something. You didn't have to worry about panty line issues in knit pants or skirts or anything else. And I just plain liked the fact that I was wearing practically no fabric at all on my nether regions.
My topography has changed a lot in twenty years. I've had two children; I've cultivated cellulite; things are headed south (and I don't mean migrating birds or retiring seniors either); the sight of new wrinkles is so common it isn't even shocking. But I've never given up the thong. I moved to wide waistband, mostly cotton Hanes thong underwear that totally left out the hint of naughty, but the comfort of minimal coverage remained.
On my last visit to my doctor I must have mentioned in casual conversation that I wore thong underwear. Imagine my surprise when she practically forbade me from wearing the butt cheek baring panties! "I would like to tell all women", she said, "that wearing a thong has long-lasting health effects. It's bad for the entire genital and perineal area."
Who knew? I was devastated. I turned forty, needed a mammogram, bifocal glasses, anti-wrinkle products, a fiber supplement, and now granny panties?
Sure enough, I found out through my research that doctors are concerned about the health implications of wearing thong underwear. Recurrent vaginal infections are more common in thong wearers. The string part can inflame the skin, leading to thrush which is a yeast infection of the skin that thrives in warm, moist environments. Another concern is bacteria can travel along that little string from the rectum to the vaginal area. Everyone knows that you wipe from front to back, not the other way around, so wearing thong underwear defeats that purpose. The chafing that occurs can negatively impact the whole genital area and leave the area more susceptible to infections. Bladder infections and urinary tract infections are more common in thong wearers, too.
Since this second half of my adult life is including such fun things as visits to mammography labs, using Metamucil, and a visit to a urologist, I decided to go underwear shopping on the advice of my doctor. I was pleasantly surprised to find cute bikini panties that weren't uncomfortable and decidedly not grannyish even in the Hanes line. And then I was thrilled to discover the boy-cut panties. Cut low in the waist, and cut straight across the top of the thigh and in every conceivable design from lacy to downright boyish, I was in panty heaven!
And really, my doctor did me a favor. I now have another reason to go shopping.
There you go.
