they are not very important characters, they are just characters. comics change and restart all the time, none of the male characters you have mentioned are integral. if ant man were essential he would have been in the first film. as it is, the marvel film universe has the Avengers formed without him. as such he is not essential for phase two, the avengers already exist.

Exactly. The male characters are integral because they were written so. If they had written Black Widow to be more integral she would have been. They didn't, because she was just the token female. Despite that she was hugely popular with women who made up 40% of the audience and instead of cashing in on that they are ignoring it in favour of more boys.

Or he could have got his film and Black Widow could have got hers and been made integral. I remember reading somewhere that Whedon had to fight to include BW as it was, and whatever you think about he importance to the plot she was one of the most popular characters. He could equally have replaced the Hulk if he's just another genius type character.

It was a joke, I think many players who enjoy GTA don't take the interplay between characters and the over the top nature of the dialogue too seriously. It's actually a really funny game and I enjoy it immensely. Judging by how many people play them I don't think I'm alone :D

To be fair I am really enjoying Disney's Infinity games too.

a lot of that wealth comes from foreign aid too. Academics and others in Pakistan have begged western governments to stop giving hundreds of millions a year, because the government ministers simply pocket it all. why would the pakistan government want to make their country a better place when that would mean them losing out on millions of free dollars a year?

It's also all very well to criticise the populists for being rich (and remember how wealthy most US Presidents and even British politicians are); many of their opponents were literally IRL robber barons who owned major companies, including media outlets, and controlled information that way. Earth 1's Kara zor-El is Supergirl, but a Kara zor-El from an alternate universe (called Earth 2) operates under the identity Power Girl. That still seems cofusing ;)


She is my favourite superheroine next to Batwoman.

But Power Girl Kara was known as Supergirl in Earth 2, she only calls herself Power Girl now she is on Earth 1.;)

As for her costume, it's ridiculous but the way she is written it suits her character. She's confident, sexy and incredibly intelligent as well as powerful even without her superpowers, having her own company and whatnot.

Another thing I dislike is the adoption of mission rankings like they had in TBOGT. It's story driven, if you pass you pass, there shouldn't be degrees of success, when the degrees don't really have meaning.

the character switching I found a little disappointing, it was made out to be really cool switching between characters mid mission to do different things, but it is all scripted so you can't actually do each mission as anyone you like.

I think the satire is ham fisted and rubbish personally, calling it satire is far too generous.

the rankings are very odd, not telling you until after the mission so far as I can tell, then half the time you don't know what the criteria are even then.

The satire in GTA is far less hamfisted and forced than the parody in Saints Row.

what satire is there in GTA exactly? they have a facebook equivalent, an apple equivalent, and it is set in LA. that is hardly ground breaking. It is all ground that has been gone over thoroughly in all sorts of media, it is not clever, original, or funny.

Saints Row is not forced parody, it takes an occasional pot shot at other games whilst doing its' own thing.

A scheme to allow motorists to pay for city centre parking with conkers is set to be extended.

Personally, I don't want a man cave. My wife and I are both introverts, so we have to work really hard to keep up communication. We've even gone to marriage classes about it. Adding a room specifically designed for me to sequester myself from the rest of the family would be a bad idea.

I usually just reserve my hobby time for when the kids are asleep or doing something that doesn't require much supervision. Sometimes, I let them in on the action. My 6-year old daughter had a friend over for a playdate the other day. They saw me painting an Imperial Guardsman and wanted to try it. So I gave them some spare minis and old brushes, and we had some fun geeking out.

Very cool. also worth noting the C&D was because they were selling a fabric with a pattern identical to one already on the market, the cosplayers agreed with the C&D and withdrew it from the marketplace. Just based on the development of gaming hardware I'd suggest the PC gaming market is reasonably secure.

Do it, a friend of mine was involved in a crash a couple of years ago, and hurt his knees he didn't make a claim and now he has difficulty walking, but it is too late to do anything about it.

It is a quiet week where my wife is contacted by less than 3 companies wanting her to make a claim when she was hit. It was at such a low speed that the seatbelt didn't tension. In retrospect it would have been less hassle to make a claim.

But it is a problem because of the vast number of whip-lash-scams decent people with a valid claim feel that they shouldn't because they don't want to be one of those people despite it being genuine.

Eh I hate this place, it is failing to continue to ruin legacy systems, that it shouldn't need to do because the new system should have been in place 9 months ago. All the new improvements and innovations that were promised are just clones of the same alogirthms and processes in the old system. Where new subsystems are itroduced they are slower, less efficient, with less capability and worse to use than the existing system. Plus the company still needs to lose abut 1/6th of the work force.

'Islam isn't a race' isn't nearly as good an argument as you think it is. Because you'll notice that racial categories aren't real either. They're invented, and a lot of their invention is about supposed cultural and personal qualities of the people in that categories. Islam itself is a faith, but there is also a racialised version of 'Muslims' which people have concocted to hate them. Judaism isn't a 'race', either; but the **** conception of The Jew was racialised, and racist.

There are no 'races', except those racists have invented. Lumping 'muslims' into one group, and then making claims about them all is an exercise in racialisation.

I mean, think about this. Would you accept people talking about Christians in this way? Probably not, not least because you know that Christian is not s monolithic category. There's lots of different versions of Christianity, there's lots of degrees to which one can believe, and yes, Christians come from Ll sorts of different places and cultures. Asking someone how they felt about Christians in general is trying to lump a whole bunch of people into a category which is silly on its face. It's the same - worse! - with muslims, because we have a media and political discourse which is constantly Othering muslims, making them out to be dirty, medievalist psychopaths with no respect for human life etc. But the category of 'muslims' is no more sane than 'christians'. What about the distinction between Sunni and Shia? What about the Sufis? What about those who live in relatively prosperous countries versus those who don't - why are we blaming Islam for somehow causing poverty and backwardness in areas which were colonies, deliberately engineered to fail in their post colonial state, and have thus become war zones?

So no, because Islam is totally a target of a racist discourse, 'Islam isn't a race' is not a valid argument.

I'm not sure I agree with you with respect to Jew, they are all decended from Abraham and you have to have a Jewish mother to be a Jew, so there must be a genetic similiarity of the group. Though of course not all of that same group would be a practicing member of the faith.
