Hi,
Can a model with higher initiative pile in to an assault even if doing so requires it to displace models already in the assault?
My opponent assaulted one of my units through a constricted space. He got a number of his Ork Boyz into contact, but his Warboss was not in contact with any of my models, and was not within 2" of a Boy who was.
So we begin the assault. Everyone else in the melee was Initiative2, so the Warboss went first...he got his 3" Pile In move, which brought him to within 2" of another model in base contact with mine. He then made his attacks.
The only issue here is that the space between the Warboss and my models was completely packed with Ork Boyz, and for the Warboss to reach his position, he had to displace some of the Boyz.
Is this legal? Can a model with higher Initiative displace others? Or does he have to wait till there's room?
Thanks,
Brent
