Ask not the EldarGal a question, for she will give you three answers, all of which are puns and terrifying to know. Back off man, I'm a feminist. Ia! Ia! Gloppal Snode!
Excluding pokemon I don't think I have since the Rome 2 debacle.

I don't think I pre-ordered Rome 2, I forget. I pre-ordered the collectors edition of Shogun 2 and was a bit disappointed in the game though I'm not sure why so I just bought a Steam version of Rome 2. Didn't have any major problems with it at launch honestly, the long turn time gave me time to do some reading.![]()

I didn't have any technical issues. I was just disappointed in it.
I've still barely played Shogun 2, I should go back to it.
I also shouldn't look at stuff like this it makes me want to build again.

I normally don't even buy a game* within its first year of life, let alone preorder (it takes a while before the first 75% off sale), but I did just preorder Shadowrun: Hong Kong on the basis that I really enjoyed Dragonfall and hunger for more.
*well, not video games. I've Kickstarted a few card games, board games and pen-and-paper RPGs.
yeah I was able to play Rome2 just fine on launch, but that was still a complete debacle, haven't preordered anything since iirc...
XCOM2 can only be awesome though, especially with the greatly improved modding support they promised. Wonder how long it'll take before we see a 40k mod - PDF vs. Orks would be a decent fit for that methinks, depending on how much the "fighting the established occupation" theme is ingrained in the mechanics, as opposed to fighting off an actual invasion... maybe Tau instead, that might work better with the whole pacification thing...
