Small query - what model or combination kitbash, do you think is best to represent the mutant horde in IA13 Heretics and Renegade list?
Only limitation is GW parts.

I probably come across as a bit of an ***, don't worry I just cannot abide stupid.
Exactly... the model world is your oyster.
I feel ghouls might make a good basE choice, lots in a box ... look crazy and sub human get converting !
cadians and a blowtorch
just kidding but a real though, i remember seeing a cool pic using what i think was the lotr/hobbit goblin kit as a base ill try and see if i can remember where that was. pricey but fairly incredible
As long as it's visually distinct from your other units, it's good to go. I've seen good results from mixing Ork bodies/limbs with human bodies/limbs to give a misshapen look, and Beastmen/Skaven bits are good for establishing a unit as inhuman. I'm not sure how they size up against Imperial Guard models, but Chaos Warrior Forsaken would be a great source of Mutant bits:
Yup. Kit bash paradise.
Though I totes suggest planning out your army first - there's a mind boggling range of options open to you. One entry can wind up as Renegade Guard, a cultist rabble, Beastmen, mutants....
The more you plan, the more of an idea you'll have of how you want it to look. Alternative would be to think of your ideal 'take' on the army, then see which units fit. Either way will help preserve sanity!

All excellent help thanks gents. The tip about ghouls and forsaken particularly well received, I didn't know about those.
The thing is the (Plague) Zombie route is well trodden - Cadians and Zombie sprue bits. But mutants are less common.
