now I am pissed off

every single year when my Xbox gold membership renews I tell it not to auto renew the following year. every single year the renewal date rolls around and it prompts you again, and I say no, don't auto renew. every single year it auto renews anyway. just got an email now telling me it will auto renew on the 4th of Feb. gone online to my xbox account, gone to the subscriptions page. according to the support page, there is a big 'cancel auto payment' button to click on. except that there isn't. every support article about renewing simply provides a link to the subscription page and tells you to click the button that isn't there. eventually found a different method via the forums, and have yet again selected the do not renew option. if they take the money again this year I am going to damn well prosecute them for theft.

take out wads of cash, cancel card, use a scratch card renewel code?

I will probably try to remove all my payment information from the account now that I don't really use the 360 any more. in the past though a) it was handy for purchasing stuff, and b) it wouldn't let me remove my payment details because they were linked to my subscription which I kept telling them not to do...
