    Default Weapon destroyed on walkers

Query came up last game, when weapon destroyed was rolled vs a maulerfiend

“One of the vehicle’s weapons (randomly chosen) is destroyed – including any combi- or built in weapons. This can include vehicle upgrades that are weapons, such as pintle-mounted storm bolters or hunter-killer missiles. Do not count weapons that have run out of ammunition – they’re already non-functional for the most part. If a vehicle has no weapons left, treat this result as an Immobilised result instead (see below).”

It doesn't specify if a close combat weapon is included
The only examples given are shooting weapons

We rolled off, but how do you interpret this: Is the maulerfiend immobilised?

One of the vehicles WEAPONS is destroyed.

Maulerfiend features two power fists and two magma cullers which can be destroyed and can be upgraded with two lasher tendrils (instead of magma cullers).

If you are you asking if the unlisted Close Combat Weapon that all models have if they have no other listed close combat weapon can be Destroyed, then the answer is no.

However, if you are referencing the Maulerfiend's Power Fists and Magma Cutters, then yes, they can be affected.

Thanks, clears it up. We had difficulty because it talks about not counting weapons without ammunition, and nowhere mentions that a CC weapon can be counted...

Would have been better if the BRB paragraph mentioned 'dreadnought CC weapon' or some such as one of their examples!

weapons that have run out of ammunition
Thats different to weapons without ammunition.
There are a few Weapons than can run dry during a game like the Deathstrike, Tau Skyray or various Flyers with Missiles/Bombs

Hunter Killer Missiles are the BRB choice for this as well.
