just seen an ad for Warmachine Tactics on Steam. I quite like Warmachine, but nobody else around here will really play it. So I thought, hmm, that seems handy, PC version of a turn based tabletop game, like Space Hulk, can't be expensive. £49.99, and it isn't even finished yet. yeah... no.

Cool. It didn't come down enough in the steam sale for me to justify buying it when i probably won't play it before the next steam sale.
plus even worse i'm probably going to be stuck console gaming for at least a week, maybe two.

I am hoping for either a tax rebate or a bonus to get a new pc otherwise I am just going be gaming on a laptop

Well the problem is an error with gfx card, but I am not sure if the root cause is an issue with the psu.

could be.
If you have capacitors on the gpu they're the cheapest potential fix and might give you similar rffect of a power issue. I bought a pair a few years back, one working, one prone to crashing under heavy load, changed all the caps for the same solid state ones and cured it.
One time a gpu blew up and we lost the right hand quarter of the display
