First High Elf List C&C wanted! (2k)

Well i am trying to figure out how to build my first list to get models to build up to for high elfs! Problem is i have not played much fantasy in the last few years nor have i played elfs before........So any suggestions on changes to make would be great and very welcome!

A few issues I can spot.


The sisters will die to a stiff wind with minimal impact to the field with only 5 models. I'd rather suggest you field Shadow Warriors if you want a small harassment unit.

I'd trim down a few of the blocks. Phoenix Guard drop to 15-20 (or swap to White Lions and stick with 20), Silver Helms go with 10. The extra four knights won't add enough to justify the cost and for that price you could add those Shadow Warriors or beef up the Sisters of Avelorn

Allarielle should go with the archers. Period. She has no place on the front line and Lore of Light/Lore of Life are support lores more than offensive lores anyway.

I'd rather see you drop one of the bolt throwers for a giant eagle. Your list desperately needs some cheap redirect units like Tiranoc Chariots or, preferably, Eagles. The swapping of Phoenix Guard to White Lions will mean that you have plenty of offense to take out enemy monsters so you don't necessarily need both bolt throwers.

I don't know where you would get the points from but consider taking a level 1 Light mage. This helps boost some light spells. Usually you want more than 1 but I know that even adding 1 to this list would require some decent point shuffling.

I feel for you. Alith Anar and Alarielle play very differently and require completely different lists. So trying to put together enough miniatures to play both requires a decent investment and flexible playstyle.
