Yup yupBuildings are brilliant vs horse.
I just wish the E:TW map was bigger, or if not bigger had more provinces, like split France into 5 regions or something rather than the one.

If you like E:TW but prefer Empire building to battle sims try Europa Universalis IV. It is amaze and incredibly addictive. Spans from the year 1444 to 1821.
Ask not the EldarGal a question, for she will give you three answers, all of which are puns and terrifying to know. Back off man, I'm a feminist. Ia! Ia! Gloppal Snode!
I've got 1 and 3 (chronicles) but haven't played 3 yet.
Really want to play Crusader Kings 2 though.

I'm rather fond of the battles, just not used to losing anymore.
I think I've seen the Japanese equivalent of europa played, its very complicated looking.

I will bear that in mind if I ever have any money and it coincides with a steamy sale.

Oh also, GameSpy is closing so if you use them (or more over your game does) then no more multiplayer action. This could be patched unless you know it is a THQ game like DoW I or II...

You might remember seeing this:
In April 2014, Glu announced that it would shut down the legacy GameSpy servers on May 31, 2014, so its developers could focus on work for Glu's own services. Games which still use GameSpy will no longer offer online functionality or multiplayer services after the shutdown. While some publishers have planned to migrate GameSpy-equipped games to other platforms (such as Steamworks or in-house services), some publishers, such as Nintendo (who used the GameSpy servers as the basis of its Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection platform for DS and Wii games) will not, particularly due to the age of the affected games
