Tau at a FLGS Tourny

A friend of mine is running a Tau list at a local tournament. I went through the list with him, and we tweaked it a bit. I was wondering if you guys have any comments on list design. Thanks!

Why did you put a Black Sun Filter on the Twin-Flamer Crisis Suit? Even if the suit rolls double-1 for distance, it is still only 2 inches less than the length of the Template. It probably won't matter. You may find it of more use on the Pathfinder Shas'ui or the Stealth Suit Team Leader.

My guess is because you need three systems on a suit, and the BSF is the cheapest third option there is.

You need 3 systems, and there isn't one that is 4 points--- just jumps from 3 points to 5.

We were trying to make the cheapest suit possible--- I thought that having 3 Marker lights in the Firewarrior squads was a waste of points. They will be riding in the Devilfishes, and as a consequence, they will almost always be moving, never having a chance to fire a Hv Weapon. Maybe a handful of times, the Firwarriors will fire a Markerlight, but with 50/50 chance of hitting, I figured just leave that to the Pathfinders.

A suicide suit can make a powerful distraction--- and conversion time: he's gunna make a big drone with Twin-Flamers. Makes sense, too-- why would you have an experienced warrior just go n' die, when you can have a drone do it.

Any suggestions?
