Default DiStudios - Khador army 2010

    Hi everyone,

I have been to Warmachine for a long time and with the arrival of MKII this year I hyad intended to break out the old Khador army and give it a repaint. However a lack of gaming interest in my area meant that I shelved the entire project and game until this month. I had decided to do my entire army in NMM as a change to previous projects and so far i am enjoying the difference in looks, with my first game this Sat in 3 months, I am looking forward to doing more (and sharing) of this project through out the rest of the year.

Below are the current repaints of 2010

    Greylord Ternion

I am still evolving the look of this project as I have not practiced NMM in this volume before, but with people's help and opinions I am sure that down the line I will (finally) have a fully painted army I am happy with.

    Thanks for looking

    Default Kodiak

Manhunter Alt version is to follow, I am intending to have at least one warjack/solo/unit painted and posted in week just to keep the momentum going.

Very nice work. I especially like the Greylords. Overall very nice work. I like the battle damage on the Kodiak a lot. Things I think you could push, but by no means did you do a shabby job on:
    1) The coal burning in the kodiak. It looks a little flat. Maybe darken the edges just a little?
    2) The gold/bronze on the kodiak, specifically the face plate. It looks a little dull. Maybe add some shading to it? Right now it looks like it is all one color.
    3) This is a personal preference, rather than having the whole blade for the Greylord axes be icy, maybe have it emanating from the runes or just on the blade?

Any chance we can see the back of the head Greylord?

Thank you for the feedback. It had been almost 6 years since I last sat down and had dedicated painting time so at the moment I am finding hard to get my bearings, so any c&c I am finding extremely helpful.

I think the lack of shading was a poor choice of brown base on my behalf, I think I started with too light a brown. I will experiment with the Decimator next week various shades.

As requested here is the back shot of the Greylords.

thanks for taking time to look and comment, all advice is appreciated

Progress on Yuri the Axe, I am hoping to have this done by the end of tomorrow and start working on a warjack.

    Thanks Tony

Finally finished Yuri the Axe, and am looking forward to moving on to something new, possibly some Warjacks.

Had a lot of fun with this figure, figuring out old skin palettes and working on Nmm weathering, so the time was well spent from a learning point of view.

Need to step up on the speed though for September games!

    Thanks for looking,
