Made my first draft of a big horizontal Eldar portal. I'm using it as a counts-as Skyshield Landing Pad (so my Vampire can start the game on it, as you can see in one of the pics).
Laser cut, and the portal itself is digital UV printed. Still need to paint the spires (legs) and add the obligatory Eldar gems to all the oval recesses.
Currently it's modular, and the portal can be popped off to "turn off" the portal.
The legs are reversible, so which look better - eggs pointing in, legs out? Or eggs pointing out, legs underneath? Legs out would allow me to make a cool Dias underneath the portal.

I too think that legs in looks better.
Either there is life in the universe more intelligent than us, or we are the most intelligent form of life in the universe. Either way, it's a worrying thought!
