HH Dark Angels colour:

Hi all,

We know that the main colours for the DA was black but do colour schemes exist for the Dark Angel wings?

It is common knowledge that the Deathwing's bone white scheme came post heresy but what was it before and during the heresy?

Are the full DA colours mentioned anywhere?

I cannot remember anything from the novels.

Not sure about Raven Wing but pretty sure Death Wing would have been black (although don't actually have evidence to substantiate that). However in the original short story the Terminators painted white over their existing armour which would suggest that to be the case.

However not all Dark Angels wore black armour during the Horus Heresy.

Terran Dark Angels wore black armour but Calibanite Dark Angels wore the dark green we are familiar with today so it's a bit of a mix but generally speaking black would be the safest bet.

If I remember correctly it was the Lutherins who changed their colours to "Dark Angel Green". This is mentioned in Descent of Angels during one of the interrogations.

Thanks for the reminder of the DW short story. I shall have to dig it out and verify if they mention anything there!
