New Archaon Model

regarding it’s arrival time: I “think” week after HH.

Looking at it some more I quite like the heads of the “dragon” or whatever it’s meant to be, in fact if I were still into GW some of these would be fantastic for Daemon prince conversions.

Archaon himself doesn’t really look good to me. What I do find strange is the absence of slaanesh pretty much everywhere, but on Archaon’s Shield I can clearly make out the slaanesh symbol along with the other 3.

Also for the keywords on his rules it says “Chaos, Daemon, Mortal Khorne, Nurgle, SLAANESH, Tzeentch, Everchosen” so it would appear Slaanesh is not totally gone.

In fact having now had a good long look I think this almost looks like a resposed Mutalith Beast or whatever it was called, but with 2 tails, wings and 3 heads.

There is a picture where he is fighting some liza…. seraphon so I guess there might be a campaign book or whatever they’re called.

So it’s Dorghar… weird…

There is a couple of special Chaos Knights following Archaon, as well as a Tzeentch character. A Battle Tome to go with all of them as well.

And there is more for AoS in January...

And that's no ordinary Chimera....those heads look Daemonic, and God specific.

Still no Slaanesh mind. Seems Tyrion and Malekith are taking their time on the dark prince!

Its Archaon, there is a bigger picture showing the creaturs body and massive tails, which is the Slannesh part of it, its a big, stocky humandoid dragon thing, I'd link to a pic but work computer so no image hosts as they're all blocked.

Its a very non-traditional take on the Chaos Dragon, I really like it, more "Vaguely Dragon Shaped Daemon"

Age of Sigmar has SUCH a great Chaos aesthetic so far, I've loved every model they've done for Chaos (Including Glottkin onwards as Age of Sigmar there)

Possibly new Chaos Warriors, but perhaps more likely non-red Blood Warriors? Hard to tell.

I thought that but I think the helmet looks like one of the Blood Warrior ones, and the shoulder armour has that raised ridge that some of the Blood Warrior ones do. Actually, that's the bit about AoS Chaos I'm not mad about, the Khorne unit names, but if I was 12 I'd think they were cool as ****.

Names don't both me so much. They could be called BattleDaves for all it matters to me

But yeah. I think they are just the Blood Warriors.
