Default DC/ Graphic Novel question...

    Chaps

UKTV is currently advertising one of these 'part work' series in newsagents. Instead of getting 1 rivet a month until you build a tiger tank, you get a DC graphic novel for £9.99.

Has anyone seen the advert or even the back of the first one, is a DC fan, and can advise whether or not these are good story lines or not?

    Cheers

Not a particularly useful post, but I'm subscribed to the Judge Dredd Mega Collection - and it's well worth the money. Hardbacks, lots of interviews with the artists and writers.

If the DC collection is anything like it, go for it.

I've seen the advert you're referring to Denzark and even owning a load of those stories I'll admit to being tempted by it, simply to have them all in such a nice hardback collection. If it's the same one, there's the option to spend £1 extra a month and get 3 volumes over the course of the subscription that cover a truly awesome Green Lantern storyline running from the Sinestro Corps War all the way through the end of the the Blackest Night. Arguably the best GL saga ever done and one of the finest DC stories too. From what I saw of the first 12 issues of the subscription there isn't a bad volume in it, and some like Hush and Man of Steel are superb.

If you can afford it, I'd recommend it.

EDIT: Found it advertised online here.

Either there is life in the universe more intelligent than us, or we are the most intelligent form of life in the universe. Either way, it's a worrying thought!

    Scrotnig!

You know, I think I need to renew my 2000AD subscription.

Shame I can't get it on Direct Debit though.
