For me it's a combination of several factors:I still think the paint job is a large part of their issue. It's too Terracota. I prefer the Forgeworld paint scheme.
- Ugly helmet. Looks goofy, and not in a good way.
- Ugly arms. The power fist versions are stubby and lack wrists. The phosphor blaster versions are sort of round, rather than just being hugely impressive cannon.
- Fat ankles. They look like they'd hit each other and go 'BONG!' every time the thing moved.
- Lack of detail. Where are the pistons? The cogs and gears and pipes and cables? Yes, I get they're supposed to be under armour plating. Shame that plating is boring to look at. I like the Mechanicum's 'expose the innards' aesthetic.
- That stupid, ridiculous helmet.
- No rivets. I mean, seriously, I know I can add them, but I shouldn't have to.
- That ugly, ugly helmet.
- Flamer canister out the side at 90 degrees. Why? It looks like a Faberge egg stuck on the side.
- Seriously: WHY THAT STUPID BLOODY HELMET?!!
It's just a cavalcade of awful. I don't like anything about it, and I was so ready to.
So ready.
