I wonder if they're going to streamline things a la 40k / Warmahordes (to grow the customer base), or if they're going to continue pushing unnecessarily high detail to existing fans (who don't really need to buy anything).

It's like they just refuse to get out of the 1990s.

The rules have been very much streamlined and these free living rules show that nicely. Virtually every aspect of the game has been overhauled and the rulebook is being updated bi-monthly for errata during the beta phase.

I'm proud to have developed these rules. The game is still a skirmish game but plays very fast and has a great level of detail.

Thank you very much - I have downloaded them, and at 100+ pages, it's quite the handful. Far more comprehensive than I had expected. I do agree that it is vastly cleaner than the previous version. Thank you!

Question: Do you know if there is / will be a "Quickstart" pamphlet that just takes people through the mechanics of playing a 1-on-1 duel? Or at most, a 5-on-5 fight? Nothing fancy, just letting people get a basic feel for how it goes, without digging through lots of extra stuff.

We are near to unlocking a companion book to the kickstarter core set that will take players through a number of scenarios that will teach them the rules step by step.

Plus we are putting together some battle reports, and some videos about the new beta rules.

Now trending over 70K, heading for more stretch goals.

We have just unlocked this as a free add-on and it will be in color with the next stretch goal.
Plus I am planning some video support, battle reps and how to videos.
