Default Base Stampers - Kickstarter

Small Target, really cool idea

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1843680961/base-stampers-textured-base-stamps-for-miniature-w

Basically its a rubberised press. Put some greestuff on a base. The stamp has a pattern that it deposits into the greeny leaving behind a textured base.

For example - The Earth ones

£11 for 4 stamps doesn't actually seem too bad. A lot less hassle than casting my own bases (which is hellishly annoying at times!)

I see they work on 25mm square bases, if they worked on 20mm square bases without looking artificially cut off I'd be more interested. Great idea, really, just not something I need for 40k. WFB though...
Ask not the EldarGal a question, for she will give you three answers, all of which are puns and terrifying to know. Back off man, I'm a feminist. Ia! Ia! Gloppal Snode!

I've got a £11 thing in for the Earth ones above. Like the idea, so hope it succeeds

I'm thinking you could probably flip these over and pour some resin in to cast base toppers, and it would probably be easier to tweak/modify and to get consistent results from than trying to press green stuff consistently.

Neat idea, though I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole.

They're using GW items to make their designs. The battlefield ones include GW shields and weapons, and one uses the turret hatch from a Rhino.

Because they're using GW products in their actual design/execution, they've opened themselves up to much more than CHS ever did.

I don't see any GW products besides maybe the completed miniature picture.

In the "Battlefield" stamps they use shields and swords from LOTR minis, and in another there was the hatch half from a RHINO sprue. That picture has been taken down, but was up there when I first looked at the KS page.

Hard to justify them being LOTR though. They just as well could be any shield.

Nearly at target, 2 weeks to go.

Added some nice Dungeon and Sci Fi ones, and some bike bases
