I am going to assume you are trying and failing to make a joke, because "all girls lie" is hardly something either group would say, and I would think you would acknowledge that even if you disliked them.

That should be a reportable offense surely, I mean you can't get much more sexist a statement than saying outright that all women lie. Complain to HR.

Supervisor was mildly sympathetic, but said that 'he was sure they were only trying to be funny'. One of them later gave a totally inadequate apology and is now miffed at me for acknowledging but not accepting it. Or forgiving him, which was apparently the aim. Of course I'm not going to forgive him just because he makes a grudging apology! He needs to prove that he has grown past the 'girls have cootees' stage first, thanks.

Also I was annoyed that in their discussions it was "girls" and not "women". I think I am going to refer to them only as "little boys" should they continue, because I know more mature children.

Is that a legit youtube statistic? That's scary. Also scarier that the authorities aren't catching more people that are clearly browsing questionable stuff logged in.

I was wondering this point myself. I've no doubt that it could be true, but I find it a bit incredulous that men of that age and inclination would leave themselves open like that. I had read or seen in a documentary at some point that most pedophiles were in a younger age bracket too. I could be wrong.

Or maybe it rolls off the tongue easier. Or it's used as a more informal gender pronoun. I suppose that gals could be used as well, but sometimes I think that you give us more credit then credit is do.

I think that depends on the usage, I often used to hear my grandparents and their friends refer to each gender group as boys and girls. Maybe to recapture their youth. The girls would happily go shopping, whilst the boys went out to play golf. No offence was intended. Nobody was upset it was just "banter"

Firstly the video's been deleted. Thing is I don't think the casting majority of those guys as pedophiles is true, one need only look at the [URL="http://gawker.com/5950981/unmasking-reddits-violentacrez-the-biggest-troll-on-the-web"]Violentacrez saga[/URL] on Reddit:

Violentacrez and his fellow moderators worked hard to make sure every girl on jailbait was underage, diligently deleting any photos whose subjects seemed older than 16 or 17. Violentacrez himself posted hundreds of photos. Jailbait became one of Reddit's most popular subreddits, generating millions of pageviews a month. "Jailbait" was for a time the second biggest search term bringing traffic to Reddit, after "Reddit." Eventually, Jailbait landed on CNN, where Anderson Cooper called out Reddit for hosting it, and Violentacrez for creating it. The ensuing outcry led Reddit administrators to reluctantly ban Jailbait, and all sexually suggestive content featuring minors.

On the phone, Michael Brutsch insisted he is not a pedophile but was unapologetic about Jailbait. He compared the photos of underage girls he posted to Britney Spears' sultry "Hit Me Baby One More Time" video. She was 16 at the time, he said—how was that different than what he was doing? Brutsch said he only reposted photos that he'd found elsewhere, mostly on 4chan, and that he promptly removed any outright child porn that was posted.

"I've always been upfront about the sorts of things that I find attractive," he said. Brutsch didn't create the creepshots subreddit which was launched earlier this year. But when it started to get heat after a teacher in Georgia was fired at the end of September for allegedly posting covert pictures of his underage students, it only made sense that the section's moderators would bring Violentacrez on to help deal with the newfound attention. He was a moderator until Creepshots was banned this week amid increasing controversy. (The circumstances surrounding Creepshots' ban is unclear, as Reddit's General Manager had told Buzzfeed they would not ban the subreddit because it wasn't breaking Reddit's rules.)

Keep in mind that the "jailbait" subreddit was gone but suddenly a "fashion police" one popped up "critiquing" the outfits of young girls by posting their photos online. Also consider the term "jailbait" itself - saying that the only thing standing between these men and trying to sleep with young girls is that it's illegal. Consider the sexualisation and infantalisation of women - hairless, youthful & virginal is the goal so much so that the word "period" is banned from tv and ads for leg razors have models already without leg hair.

Consider that young girls are sexualised, not in that "they're all wearing leggings and midriff tops nowadays", but that being able to see a young girl's figure or skin above her knee and below her neck is considered inherently sexual and provocative by virtue of simply being.

Consider that time after time studies have shown that exposure to pornography oft leads to massive negative effects and "porn culture" is one of the biggest purveyors of the sexualising underage ("barely legal") girls.

The only consideration is that a girl is "legal", completely ignoring the social power & life experience disparity between a 30 year old and a teenager. Also girl are "more mature" than men because of sociological reasons not biology. Rodham, wrote in the affidavit. “I have also been informed that she has in the past made false accusations about persons, claiming they had attacked her body. Also that she exhibits an unusual stubbornness and temper when she does not get her way.”

Clinton also wrote that a child psychologist told her that children in early adolescence “tend to exaggerate or romanticize sexual experiences,” especially when they come from “disorganized families, such as the complainant.”

The victim vigorously denied Clinton’s accusations and said there has never been any explanation of what Clinton was referring to in that affidavit. She claims she never accused anyone of attacking her before her rape.

“I’ve never said that about anyone. I don’t know why she said that. I have never made false allegations. I know she was lying,” she said. “I definitely didn’t see older men. I don’t know why Hillary put that in there and it makes me plumb mad.”

“She lied like a dog on me. I think she was trying to do whatever she could do to make herself look good at the time.”

The victim’s second main grievance with Clinton stems from the newly revealed audio recordings, which were taped in a series of interviews of Clinton with Arkansas reporter Roy Reed, who was researching an article on the Clintons that was ultimately never published. The Free Beacon found the tapes archived at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, amidst thousands of pieces of Clinton history that are being periodically released for public consumption.

On the tapes, Clinton, who speaks in a Southern drawl, appears to acknowledge that she was aware of her client’s guilt, brags about successfully getting the only piece of physical evidence thrown out of court, and laughs about it all whimsically.

“He took a lie detector test. I had him take a polygraph, which he passed, which forever destroyed my faith in polygraphs,” Clinton says on the recording, failing to hold back some chuckles.

She then describes how she discovered that investigators had cut out and lost a section of the suspect’s underwear that they said contained the victim’s blood. Clinton brought the remaining underwear segment to a Nobel Prize-winning blood expert in Brooklyn, NY, she explained, in order to convince him to lend his heavyweight reputation and influence to her defense case.

“And so the, sort of the story through the grapevine was, if you get him interested in the case, then you know you had the foremost expert in the world willing to testify so that it came out the way you wanted it to come out,” Clinton said.

Clinton told the judge that the famous expert was willing to testify. Instead of the original charge of first-degree rape, the prosecutors let Taylor plead to a lesser charge: unlawful fondling of a child. According to the Free Beacon, Taylor was sentenced to one year behind bars, with two months reduced for time served. The second attacker was never charged.

So I don't think these men are any great outlier or different than any "normal" guy you might work alongside or hang out with at the pub or club. And I don't think any of them would see what they're doing as wrong.
