    In two minds....

    1) Cynical marketing ploy is cynical

    2) Why not offer a 'loan female' type card thing, to ensure Taxis are more affordable?

    Never mind that.

I know, like me you are listening with great interest to the general synod. (Don't pretend you don't know what it is :P)

    Any who.

The Church of England's ruling body has voted (overwhelmingly 378 to 8, 25 abstentions) in favour of proposals which could allow the ordination of women bishops next year.
Last year the motion was defeated 6 votes short (you need a 2/3rds majority to pass any motion) and it was the laity where it was rejected. But huzzah progress.

I was just coming to post that! Ninja'd by a considerable margin.

Step in right direction is step in right direction.

Now we just need them to admit it was all made up, and was just a bit of a laugh and a chortle that got way out of hand.

I wonder how many takes that took?

Ok Dr. Phil’s wife, Robin, (yes groan, but listen up) has this new, completely free app out (iPhone and Android) that’s for people in abusive relationships. It’s called Aspire News and it’s disguised as a regular news app, but when you go to the “Help” section of the app, it leads you to domestic violence resources and also has a “Go Button” that when you press it, if you’re in a compromising situation, it alerts local authorities as well as local shelters and starts recording everything that is going on.

Now, if you’re looking up resources on the app and your abuser is near, simply press the X button and it brings you to a random news page. Same goes for the actual foundation site.

Really? What do they teach you about the space race on your side the pond out of curiosity?
The article said the first Briton in space was a woman and my first reaction was "wait, what? There've been Britons in space?"

“According to their survey, men hate when women wear beanies, floppy hats, hair bows, open-side shirts, oversize sweaters, shoulder pads, peplums, bandeau bikinis (“they just make your shoulders look like a linebacker”), bright lipstick, heavy eye makeup, fake nails, bangles, pointy-toed shoes, wedge sneakers, ultra-high heels, fold-over ankle boots (“it looks like the shoes have foreskins”), high-waisted jeans, high-waisted shorts, high-waisted skirts (“it lacks a certain degree of subtlety”), pantsuits (“you’re a woman, not a man”), drop-crotch pants (“really, any loose fitting pants,) and mullet dresses (“I just don’t get it — where’s the ****ing party??? You are covering the back!”). The question is how to wear all of these things at once.”

At least two. One with the russians who's a bit clumsy and drops torchs. And iirc a bloke that took american citizenship to get in your space program.

We launched a satellite once you know, but then once we proved we could do it we just bought payload space elsewhere

@Gott maybe dickheads hate it. I'm quite partial to a wench in a baggy hoody...
