Here is today's update (which I would have posted yesterday but it was too bright) the HQ for my army and his Bodyguard, enjoy.

Why is Lysander's face blue?

It isn't it's black. Because I suck at doing faces I decided to just leave it black and it actually looks quite good with the dark shade. Also I haven't painted his eyes, partly because I can barely see them to paint them but also because I think I'd ruin the look If anyone asks I'll just say that he has his eyes closed when you look at him, lol.

I could be sneaky and say that they are a successor for Salamanders

Very nice, a simple and effective paintjob to create a very respectable looking force. Probably won't win any Best Presentation awards, but will never be anywhere near the bottom in scoring. You would need to clean up in some places and pick out some little details to take it to the next level, you seem an accomplished enough painter to know exactly what I'm referring to. Overall, I give it a solid 5 on my ranking scale. Which only a handful of know about, so I should probably explain it...

Rank 1 - Beginner (My eyes! What is that mess?!)
Rank 2 - Novice (Just learned to drybrush and use thin paint layers, nice)
Rank 3 - Three Colours Up (Just enough to be tournament viable, no real detail, no clean edges)
Rank 4 - Below Table Top Standard (good detail, some basic techniques, but still messy)
Rank 5 - Table Top Standard (clean edges, good detail, looks good on the table, but flaws noticed up close)
Rank 6 - Above Table Top Standard (some advanced techniques, looks good on table and up close)
Rank 7 - 'Eavy Metal (extra attention to detail, gotta look pretty for the catalog)
Rank 8 - Forge World (realistic use of weathering, extra attention to detail, advanced techniques)
Rank 9 - Golden Demon/Crystal Brush (you know what I mean)
Rank 10 - Angel Giraldez (we bow to the master)

@ Cursed - the FW vehicles are tops. A lot of the heresy infantry we see from FW is respectfully over weathered and looks R.A.F.

Yeah, I should have specified that. Most of the Horus Heresy stuff looks like the new painters were given the task.
