While good to play might be less subjective, "really fun" is rather subjective. What kind of style do you prefer? Fast armies? Good armor? Horde?

After that, there might be some debate if army X for style X is good to play.

Why are you playing 600 point games?

That's what his school league plays, for whatever reason.

Depends what playstyle you like and how much you have to spend

    Blood Angels:
    Libarian w/ Jump Pack - 125,
    10 Man Assault Squad w/ meltaguns, sgt w/ power fist - 235
    10 Man Assault Squad w/ meltaguns, sgt w/ power weapon - 225
    -discount rhino - 15

That's basically a battleforce + a librarian + blister of meltaguns. You might need to scrounge some more pistols/chainswords in order to fully use the tacticals as assault marines without the backpacks. Mix and match the assault, deathcompany and regular marines to pimp them out.

    Not the most effective though.

    More effective would be:
    Libararian w/ Jump Pack - 125
5 Man assault Squad, meltagun, sgt powerfist - 135
5 Man assault Squad, meltagun, sgt powerfist - 135
    Sanguinary Priest w/Jump pack - 75
    Land speeder - flamer + MM - 60
    Land speeder - flamer + MM - 60

    Grey Knights:
    Coteaz - 100
    3 Warriors w/3 Meltaguns - 42
    -Chimera - 55
    3 Warriors w/3 Meltaguns - 42
    -Chimera - 55
    3 Warriors w/3 Meltaguns - 42
    -Chimera - 55
    3 Warriors w/3 plasmaguns - 42
    -Chimera - 55
    3 Warriors w/3 plasma - 42
    -Chimera - 55
3 warrios w/3 bolt guns - 15 (camp home objective)

Well i'd go for Space wolves.
Fun and good in small lists (usually as allies).

Strong core units with lots of options and cool things like wolves.

It's been a while since I looked at the rules pack, but if I remember correctly, Schools League also features a reduced force organisation chart. (just had a shufty around. No 2+ saves, no characters with more than two wounds, no AV greater than 33 (F,S,R added up*), no 'specialist' armies (dunno what they mean by this though!)

In terms of sheer bang for buck, you can't go far wrong with Necrons. Point for point Immortals seriously punch their weight. Throw in a mix of Gauss and Tesla units and you can't go far wrong.

Plus, one of our pokiest toys, the Annihilation Barge is a snip at a mere 90 points. Given the low points value, I'd be surprised if you run into many AV14, so masses of S7 is a potent source of firepower.

Mind Shackle Scarabs really come into their own, as if your opponent has plumped for an expensive elite unit, to have it smash itself up in HTH is even more effective when they represent more than a third of his available points...

*Not sure if this does, or doesn't count out Necron stuff. I mean our armour is 11/11/11 as printed. But a bit of kit boosts to 13/13/11.... For sheer sportsmanship, I'd say count the higher value. But my inner git is rules lawyering away!

There are no restrictions fpr this tourney. I cant play wolves as my teamates are. One plays wolves, one plays dark eldar and one plays crons

hmmm... Tau or Grey knights are an option but i doub they would win as they would have a small amount of models on the board...
But hey, i really need to decide an army soon, so I can get it bought soon.

    Exclamation

Grey Knights are certainly a fair option, and model for model, point for point present quite the challenge for enemy units. As they all have Storm Bolters, even a small unit puts out a solid wall of firepower with no compromise.

Blood Angels also present an interesting option. With Assault Marines as troops, your entire army can be up his fundament in no time. Hammer of Wrath is especially useful in small games.

And do look into Eldar. Rangers for troops, and very cheap too. Any over arcing tactical deficiency can be met with a properly equipped Autarch.

Space Marines likewise. In 600 points? Sniper Scouts for troops, backed by Terminators. Thanks to precision shots, you can theoretically drop any Plasma weapons before they can maul your Terminators....
