    Ok so I understand that Wairthguard get a cover save but do they also get it in the assault phase too?

    Worst Question Ever

    Wraithguard get a cover save IF;

    - They are in cover
    - They have a Warlock with the power Conceal (5+)
    - They have gone to ground

    You don't get cover saves in combat. Only their 3+ armour

    Well I appreciate my question being answered but I don't see how it was the worst question ever! I don't play Eldar and I don't even have an Eldar codex. The back ground to this question is that i playing a 2000pt game yesterday with my GK against an all Warithguard army. When my opponent had gotten in the assault with my 10 man Paladins, Draigo and a Librarian, he kept making cover saves at 5+ and making them. I thought it was a little suspect so I had to asked the question here. I appreciate my question being answered but I hate *******s who are condescending.

    Sorry....i've been in a bit of a poke the troll, *****y mood all evening. Apologies if it came off that way.

    And no....Wraithguard have a 3+ armour, but if they have a warlock joined on with them, he can have a power that gives them a 5+ cover (personally I prefer the power than makes the 1+ WS and Init).

    IN combat...they have no Invuln save, so against GK they get no save. You never get a cover save in CC anyway. If there was a warlock attached, he does have a Invuln (4+).

    So to summarise - Apologies for being a condescending ***, and your opponent either didn't know his codex, or was cheating out his ***

    Or was calling the 5+ invulnerable save his terminators get a cover save by mistake.

    Except it was the Wraithguard making that save, not the Terminators.

    Also Wraithguard don't have power weapons (just S5), so he'd have been making his 2+ armour saves

    I have a great thread on rules. Step one involves reading the rules...

    I didn't pay attention to what step 2 was, but I sure hope step 3 is profit!
