3k Empire for 'Ard Boyz Semis

Hey all. I made it to the semis for 'ard boyz, and this is the list I'm thinking about taking. Comments would be greatly appreciated:

Why a Lvl3 and a bunch of lvl1s? Especially all with Light...
Pump the Lord up to Lvl4 and 2 Wizards up to Lvl2 then drop the other 2. Make one of them Shadow as Miasma is an awesome signature spell.
Use the left over points to get a couple throwaway detachments of FreeCompany. Would probably drop a Mortar to get a few more in as well. You will need rank breakers with this kind of army as 2 big units of Halberdiers will get grinded down fast.
That would be my recommendation anyways
And a unit of 10 Pistoliers is...well, strange...
Never seen that before lol.
