Chaos Warriors Manticore Conversion, all plastic monster and rider

Just before The Island Of Blood was released I was pondering what cool conversion could be done with the new plastic Griffon model in it. Being a Chaos follower for decades I was mostly looking for a Chaos themed conversion to do with it, something to please the dark gods, then realized that with a plastic lion head from the High Elf White Lion Chariot one could turn the High Elf Griffon into an all plastic Manticore conversion.

Now I've just acquired the essential plastic lion head needed for this conversion from a friend who has a massive High Elf army, and I've done some brainstorming with friends about what parts could be used to build an all plastic Chaos Hero/Lord to ride upon the beast, so over the next few days I'll be starting the actual conversion work and featuring some pictures of how it's done and how it turns out here in this thread.

I'll be looking carefully at several kits to build the rider, most notably the plastic Chaos Knights and Chaos Warriors, new and old. With luck, I'll have an update with pictures within a few days.
