I'm very much hoping that we're looking at Nidvember, I don't want to start painting my recently started nid force till I have a the codex in my hands.
I do have another piece of info that helps...
Hello everyone.
I wouldn't normally post links to my own auction listings here but this is a bit of a special case. I'm trying to get as many people as possible to view and hopefully bid on my...
My new favourite thread.
I'd been considering doing a 100% plasticard build for truescaling rhinos, but this looks like a great way of tackling the problem.
Not bad. Three things that come to mind: as has already been said the arms look a little mismatched (one being bulkier than the other). I'd suggest trying to increase the depth of the torso so that...
I have no interest in Ogres but I can see some awesome conversion potential in the big kits.
I ship small packets to the US all the time, for usually no more than £3 (without insurance). Most only contain a single figure that I make sure is well padded and the box reinforced with polystyrene...
If I were building this army I'd be making it as a fluffy cool looking and rather unique force and tactics/strategy be damned :o
The availability of meat shields for Space Marines at 3pts a piece...
Well I don't have the book in front of me right now (so I may edit this later) but I'd say the list should be based on the fluff. Make it a horde army, lots of marine bodies with as many abalative...
I just finished putting together this second techmarine, loosely based on my previous Master of the Forge and this awesome illustration. This one was completed far more quickly than the previous one...
I'd second that. The chest needs to be extended downward over the abdomen. At the moment he looks too stretched.
You're most welcome. :D
I vote Red Scorpion - it's your username, the colour scheme is pretty awesome and forgeworld are showing plenty of support to the chapter (possibility of some nice bits).
Thanks. The parts are so many and varied it's pretty difficult to say where most parts came from other than what I posted above. I tend to cut down and modify a lot of tiny bits, but I do know a lot...
Hey guys.
I’ve put in a fair few hours trying to get this fella painted up and finished. He's not quite 100% done yet, a few touch ups and some added battle damage are needed, but he's close...
Impressive GS skills, I particularly like the work on the wings. The teeth also work wonders, funny how tiny details like that can change the whole look of a model.
This boltgun conversion is inspired. Consider it pilfered :D
I really like it, even though I always favour the bigger variants of truescale marines.
You're right about the arm looking better in black too. Good job.
Beautiful!
The only niggling thing that bugs me is how the feet aren't firmly planted on the ground, and because of that there's very little impression of weight. But it's really just a pet peeve...
Your most welcome.
I'd like to put together a massive gallery of true/art/actual scale marines a some point in the near future. Not just mine but anyone who's braved the greenstuff, with full...
Nicely done. The sculpting on the chest is superb.
I'd suggest making sure the banner, and any pelts/cloaks all "hang" in the same direction as his braided beard. It helps tie the different...
I'll second the statement on quality, very very nice. Keep it up.
The release of a new Inquisition Codex could be the reason for them holding back on releasing plastic Stormtroopers... just a thought.
Yeah, saliva and clay chapers, probably the two most important tools in my arsenal. :)
Also, I always add more GS than I need for each area I'm sculpting and remove the excess. This garners much...
lobster-overlord is spot on.
There are some other terms banded about for scaled up minis (not always Space Marines).
Truescale: is technically the art of not just creating a mini in the correct...
I posted a link to my "Actual Scale" tutorial in your other thread, but I'll put it here too.

You're going the right way with the spacer between the chest plates. I'd suggest clipping the hip plates off, as they're rarely ever present on power armour, and make the conversion look too obvious...
