They pretty much do not follow FOC, basic rules, or even point costs in the White Dwarf battles. You cannot put much stock in what is represented by them.
ROFL. Good stuff.
It just keeps getting worse. It was not like nids were ruling the table tops so I do not understand all of this. Maybe the point reductions will make a bigger difference than I am giving them...
It will still be useful for causing havoc with gun lines. It seems that we are required to have some drawback to anything we have that is semi-decent. Did it say anything specifically about vehicles?
STR=6 AP=2 no cover I think.
It is kind of funny in a better laugh than cry sort of way to imagine the Mawloc bonking its head on a humanoid a 10th of its size... :D :(
As I mentioned before so far on the surface this appears to be an extremely lazy rehash of the last dex. This is really disappointing because the last dex was so sub par and this just appears to be...
Ugh. That would suck if the swarmlord got more costly and less effective. It is not like he was exactly a deal before. It is like one step forward two steps back.
Maybe Tervigons can take the sword? Suck it JotW...
Maybe warriors can take the special sword? I doubt they can take it but +1 strength, the I bonus and frags? Maybe? Dammit GW...
I still refuse to believe GW does in-depth play testing. I am good friends with the original creator of the Dark Age game set and I was able to see play testing where they purposely spent months...
I really like the swarmlord (I mean really how can you not like him) but that being said he seems easy enough to avoid for his points cost.
I had bought into the rumors about nids getting a foc adjustment due to the whole allies inequality thing but it sounds like GW might be making some adjustments to allies if rumors hold true this...
I don't miss 4th edition nidzilla but I do miss making beefy CC monstrosities by dumping every biomorph I could on them. :D I remember more than a few games lumbering around the table with a godfex...
True... Anyone else miss the toughness buff from 4th edition? ;)
Is the wraithlord 2+ I forget, been out of the game too long.
Did we ever hear a confirmation on foc changes for nids? Without allies they have to toss nids some sort of bone.
The nerf to buff scale seems to be tipping to the soft and spongy side so far... :p
I think it got another wound and a bit of a point reduction but remains pretty much the same otherwise. If we do not have spores I do not see the point of taking them unless they cost 20 points each...
I think the thing that bothers me the most so far is that on the surface this appears to be a rather lazy recycle. All the talk of making every unit viable etc that we heard quoted from the design...
Hopefully there is some easy good synergy we have not connected yet. Everyone liked to talk about synergy with the last dex but in my opinion other than Tervigons and Tyrants the amount of "Synergy"...
It seems to be a rehash of the last dex with some point adjustments and a few new monsters that do not really do us much good although the crone could help maybe depending on its stats. Nid shooting...
I suppose it depends on the cost of the biomorphs and there is probably some things we are missing but so far the new nid dex sounds underwhelming again.
Even if they are really cheap it would seem that acid maw and blinding poison are not useful and would actually be detrimental to pay for and use unless you are doing it in desperation against a...
