Have you been enjoying the TT this year ? Did you get to see any of the bikes ?.
not really a TT fan myself. racing started yesterday, Mad Sunday today. TT for me typically means nowhere to park my bike, and roads being ludicrously busy and dangerous.
Id love to see it myself, new record on the mountain this year. 132 plus mph, mental. I'm very envious of you right now. Still I can understand why the locals may be a bit fed up with it. Well exempt the local bike nuts. There's loads of them I'm sure.
well it doubles the population of the island, so it gets pretty crazy. most locals enjoy it, we get an extra bank holiday each year for it, the beer tent is open for two weeks on the promenade. but I don't risk taking my bike out, and I know a few others who wont either. standards of driving fall even lower than usual, and the roads are absolutely chocka. all in all it is an amazing event though.

YBR 125. costs me a whole £4-5 a week in fuel. I stand there at the pump watching car drives putting £50+ into their motors, and I get change out of a fiver. plus the road tax is under £30 a year.

Cheers matey, I'm dipping in and out rather infrequently. Still a crap load of stuff to do with the move but the application is nearly complete. Police check and medical done, the actual application paperwork is completed and we just need to get a solicitor to verify the copies of the proof of id etc. Colleen is taking them in today, so it should be sent in the next day or two. Booking flights this week as well. November 27th is evac day. Luckily I don't have to wait in the UK for my application to complete. I can do that whilst in Canada.Quote:
