if I weren't checking there regularly already, I would be now, that's for sure! :) let's hope he takes this up...
I will keep you updated
I wonder how many he gets?
lots I guess.. I mean he's been invited to speak at TED and all, so it's not like he wasn't popular...
although this might just be both crazy and "realistic" enough for him to do it... plus there's lots of opportunity for "clever" connections with European Swallows and such...
And possibly raptor attacks...
yes there's always the opportunity for that... how could I forget... and be it only to find out if our Pegacorn (that word sounds... uh... dunno what to make of it even... anyways) could escape from one by just lifting off...
So 6 months into my dispute with the council and it looks like they are going to try and claim that it isn't their's to maintain. So back to the Land Registry to get the details to send to them to prove it is their fudgecaking fence.
Surely, though it doesn't takle 6 months to try and fob someone off with that.
They can pay for that search and for the cost of my repairs so far...
Obviously though if you'd demolished to erect an eight foot high wall they'd have been round like a shot claiming "their" boundary...

Pegacorn? Nah Alicorn! or possibly winged Unicorn...
I am just very angry because of it. Had they, in December 2013, when I first raised my complaint said, that it wasn't theirs or it was a shared boundary then fine but 6months late to the ball and after I had confirmation from the land registry it makes me mad. Madder than having to pay to have my green waste collected. Bring out the cannon!

In some literature and media, it is also referred to as an alicorn, which is a historical word for the horn of a unicorn.[1]
1. In the early episodes of the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic television series, the species is not specifically named; for example, the sisters Celestia and Luna were referred as unicorns in first season's première episode "Friendship Is Magic - part 1" despite having wings.[5] However, an amulet with a pair of wings and a horned head of a horse is referred as the "Alicorn Amulet" in the third season's fifth episode "Magic Duel" (written by M. A. Larson),[6] and the species is explicitly named "alicorn" in its season finale "Magical Mystery Cure" (also written by Larson).[7]
I bow to your superior expertise. Although making up words is fun...
Who do you think you are? Shakespeare?

Aren't ALL words made up?
Don't be ridiculous.
One day Thor gave the Anglo-Saxons ye olde Oxforde Anglishe Dictionary. And thus English was born, and its never changed since.
oh Splodgy you just made laugh out loud... and I'm sitting in a library - the one of our university's department of history no less...
History's made up, too.
sure it is, and any (sensible) historian will happily admit as much - good thing we don't assume we are capable of finding out "how it actually was" any more...
Indeed. "This is our best guess based on the available data" usually works fine.
is it an african or a european alicorn?
Well, I don't know. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
Yup, this is why you are morally obliged to thump anyone who b1tches about 'revisionist' history' because if we didn't have revisions of history then we would still be believing the word of old guys who wrote 100s or even thousands of years ago and knew as much about the world as Jon Snow.
You got: Dark Unicorn
You’re a splendid vision of dark power and black magical glitter! Your other unicorn friends know not to cross you, and you strike fear and wonderment and awe into the hearts of mere humans. All shall love you and despair!

Surgery, with no anesthesia
Feel the horn pierce you intensely
Inferior, no use to ponykind
Strapped down screaming out to die
Unicorn of Death
Alicorn to the kingdom of the ponies
Infamous butcher,
Unicorn of Death

Read something recently about a gorilla being taught sign language and communicating with it minders in the zoo, including signing what they think was a description of its mothers murder by poachers. It also taught its baby gorilla sign language.
I love the Great Ape family.
Orangutans remain my fave though.
OOK!
well nothing is so...
