Of course I've played EU.:p But Mass Effect is still better.

I saw that a couple of weeks ago, it was all I could do not to go out and adopt a whole fudging cat shelter.
I have a confession to make. I was pamphleted by UKIP, or rather my house was. Here are what they are saying, bear in mind this is for a Local election:
- Spend taxpayers' money on local services, not on foreign wars, foreign aid, wasteful EU membership and wind farm subsidies
- Rubbish is blighting our neighbourhoods: UKIP will scrap Labour's green waste tax and restore effective rubbish collection
- UKIP is totally opposed to the unfair bedroom tax
- Sentences for crime and anti-social behaviour must be meaningful and act as a deterrent
- UKIP will do more to incentivise enterprise, attract jobs to the city, and regenerate our local centres
- Scrap Labour;s barmy plans to spend £7m on 20mph speed limits across the city: UKIP will spend the money on fixing potholes and improving local transport
- Sucessive Lib/Lab/Con Councils have left Birmingham over £1billion in debt. UKIP will focus spending on front-line services that benefit you, not fat-cat management salaries, vanity projects, and political correctness
- Immigration is out of control, and is fuelling over-development and the destruction of our green spaces. It's time to take control of our borders
- Local services must first be fore the benefit of local people, young and old. UKIP will and health and benefit tourism
- Our brave service women and men are being let down by the Establisment. They must have proper care, housing, and jobs when they return home
- UKIP will create more Grammar schools and do more to protect our vulnerable children
So lets see:
#1 All those things listed come from central government expenditure and not anything local council can deal with
#2 The two aren't really related. A green tax does not prevent effective collection. But to be fair, the council's current record for rubbish collection is poor, especially now that you have to pay for green (garden) waste to be removed
#3 This is central government decision and not anything local council can deal with, also notice no plans to reverse it
#4 This is a judicary decision and not anything local council can deal with
#5 Find me a local councillor who does not think that this is their remit
#6 This is something that they can do.
#7 This is something that they can do.
#8 Birmingham has no borders with any no UK areas, this is central government decision and not anything local council can deal with
#9 Health/Benefit tourism is a border issue and not anything local council can deal with
#10 No substance here, though notice they lead with service women not service men and women.
#11 Creation of schools is part of the education department's remit and not anything local council can deal with
So bland statements, fear mongering, citing issues that the local council cannot deal with and platitudes. So brilliant work 11 points a third of them about local issues...

You must be doing it wrong...

We got the LibDem one at weekend.
Doesn't tell us anything about what they'll do, but it does tell you they don't like Labour or UKIP...
Does anyone?
Doesn't tell you about any of their policies though does it?
I want to have a UKIP polster come and talk to me on m door step!
The labour one was swiftly sent on their way
I'm hoping to get a UKIP flier, so I can cut it up quite finely with scissors, head out into the small rubble pile out the back, and then using lakky bands, attach a piece of cut up racist drivel to each bit of rubble. Then box them up separately, and send them to UKIP. at their freepost address.
Bankrupt them!
I thought you needed to send them bricks?
Thats missing the point though.
They're currently leading the EU election polls, essentially the largest minority of the population supports them.
They have that support precisely because people on the left like yourself mystery are trying to stop open debate.
The best way to deal with them is to give them an open platform.
as in a platform that opens underneath them and drops them in to crocodiles? :p
plus, Mass Effect is one of the best game series ever.

Apparently Farage didn't bottle it when given the chance to stand for Parliament.
And I agree, he didn't. He's far better off suckling at the teat of Europe than in the UK Parliament. Who would willingly give up a sweet job like that? Not that he'd ever admit it of course, but he's just on a scam.
It's where all our failed politicians go isn't it? Look at that former labour leader, no doubt clegg will be back out there when his party replace him
I guess.
But for all UKIP go on about it, it's a cushy number. Especially when UKIP only seem to vote on stuff that suppresses the rights of minorities and women. The actual important stuff? 'Protest vote' by not voting.
Yeah. Really effective. Well done. Cretins.
The votes are meaningless anyway, its europe, if the don't get the result they want they keep holding them till they do
Ah well it could be worse.
Some people like to deliver things in person rather than through the freepost address

Bwahahahaha!
I'm tempted to send them....erm....something for the Roses.....
I thought you would like that Mystery.
Happy Friday!

So frustrated, last night set a database query up. Came in this morning and it had failed. I had failed to specify the date range so ended up trying to import the entire table (several GBs to my local machine). reset it up at 8 and still it hasn't finished.
oops
I know, it was supposed to be enough to blow it back out to sea, but failed KABOOOM! Sushi?
My first week as Kitchen Fuhrer goes well. All of the orders have been done excellently. Teamwork and morale have increased. Work output has increased and as such food quality and service times have improved.
Looking good for me! :p
Yay! But most importantly, is the mango chuntney in date?
Yes!
We have the audit next week so I am like a hawk right now. :p
The reason I ask, is that I had an argument with one of the whetherspoons in Brum and every mango chuntey tub was off. I mean the pots had clearly blown. The chunet was brown not orange and you could smell it, yet still the bar manager refused to admit that it was off. I was unimpressed.
What is even more strange is that it is just that one 'spoons that I have consistent problems with, like running out of meals (I mean like reordered 3 times each time to be told, erm no sorry) yet the other 4 or 5 in the centre never a problem.
I suppose it goes down to what a difference the management make, so keep up the good work :)
Dunno about anyone else, but the Stick Pixie thread is making me moist in my special places.
Which is concerning, as I'm a dedicted Poop Pixie player, and normally hold no truck with the Stick or Glitter varieties....but I'm feeling drawn the moral ambiguity of the Forest.....
It is all about the management, and I shouldn't badmouth colleagues, but, the last team leader was sh!t. We had a lot of times where we would have to refuse orders due to lack of stock, this guy just wasn't in touch with reality. Only his own petty awful life, that he kept bringing to work with him...
Stick pixie
Wood Elves. Stick Pixies.
Yeah I figured it out after posting lol
But all warhammer pixies have pretty models.
I know. But I'm a Poop Pixie.
Or was. The stick is strong this time around.
