So I suppose the bit of good news I have is that I was officially promoted yesterday. I am now a Team Leader. :)
I was having a chat with a colleague who used to work at The Shrewsbury Hotel, but now manages The Jewel of the Severn. I now have a rough idea of where I can go with my career and in what kind of timescale.
So, the aim now is to get to Shift Leader in my kitchen, another minor increase; but that means I am then eligible to be promoted to a Kitchen Manager. I don't know where I could manage, but Montgomery's Tower may need a Kitchen Manager soon, after that I can get Academy Trained which means I'd be on about 30k with bonuses taking it up past 45k. After that I can then move up to Pub Management which means I get 50% of a bonus, and would take my wages somewhere past 60k.
After that, who knows? Get Area Management maybe.

There is a club called gatecrasher or gatecrasher1 by the time he left, not sure what it is called now. ut he started as a bar man and within a couple of months worked his way up the ziggurat lickety-split. One fo those chaps that falls only on his feet :(
In other news, triple murder serving life in prison awarded £800 compensation after his nose hair clippers and alarm clock were damaged in prison. On the big climb I pulled a big gap between us.
He overtook me 3/4 the way down the hill the otherside, so I tucked in behind him, letting him fight the wind.
Next hill pulled level with him, just to remind him I was there, then tucked back behind him.
He went off road to avoid a rubbish truck, I waited and then powered up behind and passed him.
Ah yes show your contempt properly.
I do the same to people that buy these sports cars they can't drive properly, the type that do 80 down the straight bits of the country roads but can't manage the bendy bits faster than 30 :D
