While I love the RM and believe it to be fantastic, doubly even triply so in remote areas where they double up as bus/coach/ferry services.
On the other hand it was big wobbly and a massive liability in a time where every penny counts.
I get a little annoyed with PMQs as they stop asking pertitient questions about current policy and just seem to play party political games.
Even adam smith was in favour of a nationalised post office...
I blame the unions making it unprofitable...
It isn't unprofitable.
But it's as much the unions being strike happy, the excessive amounts of management, and a new use of questionably able agency staff.
Meh.
I just want to see power, water and transport nationalised again.
Utilities sure.
Not sure about transport.
I hear you on transport.
The village my grandparents live in is lucky enough to have a train station and a bus stop.
The bus stop and the train station are about half a mile apart, not bad if you are fit and able, but a bit of a trek for the older members, then the bus and the train both arrive at either on the hour or half past the hour. So if you miss one you have to wait for the other, simply pushing the bus or the train on 15 minutes would help.
Then the costs, jsut stupid, for me to get to the city centre, it is only cheaper not to park if I am on my own, and then after a certain time on street parking becomes free anyway.
Yup. Wolfie has it in one.
Public Transport? Public ownership. Dead easy.
It's of benefit to the wider economy too. At present, the trains in particular receive a Government Subsidy, on which no direct return is obtained. Yet the train companies are in profit? Madness. Take it all back, and keep them turning a profit, without having to pay a silly subsidy straight into the train company's backpocket.
It's kind of odd though that unlike most other utilities the one time the train system was at its peak was under the Big Four private companies.
Dr Beeching has a lot to answer for.
Short sighted cuts were short sighted!
The big 4 we are talking of the interwar period here. I would imagine that train usage and car ownership to inversely propotional.
So if people wanted to travel, they had to take the train in effect. But now we have population centres that are not based on these transport hubs.
We have to decide if we want public transport or no. If we do decide that it is for the best, then having a system whereby trains/coaches/busses are joined up so they arrive at stations/stops/interchanges at similiar times with sufficient times to traverse from the extreme of the hub.
The motoring lobby is a very strong one, you only have to look at the issues of what happens when they try and put in more pedestrian friendly crossings or cycling infrastructure. So, we do things half heartedly and no one is happy.
Motoring is cheap, we have very few toll roads and like the railways it is paid for through general taxation costing more money than it makes. The trouble hough with road building and improving throughput is that it only causes more vehicles to use it. So, you increase the capacity of a section by 20% by some means and what you do is then increase the number of users over time to fill up that spare capcity you built. It is an unending race. What needs to happen is for city planners to turn round and say, enough is enough. In order to reduce polution and congestion we have to force a modal shift of transport. This is a carrot and stick, incentivise people to use "mass transit" i.e. quicker journey times, and hit them with a stick if they don't, congestion charging etc. So making congested 2 lane roads 1 lane and a bus lane is one way to do it, though it is not a popular move so no elected popularist will ever engage a war on the motorist.
Just had a name crop up.....
Mrs Vicky Agina.
No. Really.
Just gonna leave this here: http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Scarlett-Johansson-Super-Powered-Drug-Mule-First-Lucy-Trailer-42351.html
actually it looks very good, and the premise is scary, what would a person be able to do if they used all 100% of the body and brain.....
So someone has bought and built Tempestus Militarum Scions 4 days early.
You realize that's complete bull, right? In real life, that is. People really do use 100% of their brains.Quote:

I use it all as I am limitless.
I limit it all as I am useless.
So did any watch knock-off nigel and the tea boy do battle royale? I did not as I had no food in my house so needed to go shopping.
BTW Mystery got asda-satisfaction/?
No on both counts.
But Farge did reveal his not that well hidden racist side, when he went on about 'white working class'.....saw that on the BBC Website.
Odious little man.
But surely Mystery we are all the same race? Or do you think people of different enthnicities are somehow different from each other? You ethnicist.

Also, for reasons to complicated to worry about. I am on the look out for a pink lorry toy. No small parts.
I'm not quite sure referring to the largest ethnic group in the country is racist mystery, that's the attitude that pushes people into the arms of the BNP *shudder*
Clegg was a joke to watch. His quoted figures didn't even match his own governments quoted figures. and the more he flailed the less he answered questions. Don't know if farage gained any voters, but I bet clegg lost some.
Love how everyone skipped my post.
Assumed you'd put it in wrong thread.
Where have you this information?
I have them right here and now.
What do you think of them in the plastic then?
It's an ace kit, I've basically still got two sprues of guns left. :D
So nice to put together.
Needed girl options.:p Hehe. Really it does look like a nice kit though, nice to see more variety amongst the IG infantry plastics.
To be fair, some of them may be girls, all helmeted. :p
Thinking of options, one of my mates decided to try different skin tonesin a guard unit and had all non-whites in a squad, this was supposed to be conscripts but then became his penal legion, unfortunately while playing a game we realised the rest of his army was white" and only the convicts weren't. These were quickly re-painted...
I am dissapointed by the realse, we need more space marines.
Yeah I'm hoping some headswaps with leftover Raging Heroes heads might work. The shoulders and waist are still a little broad but that might not be a problem depending how it looks with the head swap.
We do need new character models, Shrike, Cassius, and Tigurius look dated now.
The headswap should work, it's the armour that is bulky to be fair.
Still wouldn't have killed them to include a bare headed female head or something though.:(
