As for irrelevant, I am not so sure, given that they started out as a fringe one issue party, they are now polling more than the libdems (so maybe they are irrelevant).
But for a party with no clout, how do they manage to get a tv debate on their own issue with the leader of the libdems? Farage and his carefully sculpted common city-man appearance have arguably forced the conservatives into a refferendum, which ultimately is what Niggle wants.
