I'm not so sure, I think it depends on how long Putin thinks he can hold onto power for and whether he decided giving up some power and retiring as a Grand Duke or something is better than trying to be President until he croaks. If it happens it will also force the major branches of the Romanov family to get their ****ing **** together which would be no bad thing.
