I unlocked a new weapon in spore, I may have wanted to see how it worked, I may have cheat coded to buy one, and I may have used it on a barely inhabited planet (it only had plants) I feel really bad now as 12 or so different species declared war on me simultaneously (and I may have entered cheat codes aces dozen more times to buy piece) should I have destroyed that planet, like it was in a system I owned but I could of terra formed it and made it habitable oh Spode forgive me
You have to save doomsday weapons for a devastating first strike when necessary.
The obvious solution is build 12 more and show them that if they want a war, you'll give them a war.
I had to spawn in 4 million credits just for one, and each of those species had multiple worlds

Can anyone recommend a decent e-reader? Looking at joining the digital age, mostly for Black Library.
I have a basic Kindle and it is awesome. only criticism I would have of it really is that if you are reading a book with a lot of footnotes, (Commissar Cain, Rik Mayall's autobiography etc.) it can be a bit fiddly to get to them. you have to press down multiple times to get a cursor down to the right line, then across to the word, then select. then read it and press back. a touch screen would be massively better for that. but it is fairly rare.
I have a kindle with the keyboard, it is great, though I have never used the keyboard...plus case with light that lights up the whole frikkin room, rather than just the book so as to not distrub those you are sleeping with
best Kindle review I ever read was somebody complaining about the lack of headphone socket. lots of people chimed in saying oh yeah, good point, what a stupid thing to miss off. until somebody pointed out that the Kindle makes no noise of any kind, so why would it have a headphone jack?

Don't get me started on this. My series of Sharpe novels have this issue, it has to be be the correct publisher from the correct print so that everything matches up.
The HH series is impossible, especially buying online you don't know if you will get Gold/Silver or Bronze script then you have the different colour tabs on the top.
Similiarly my GG and Caiphas Cain books are the omnibus esdtion so I have to wait for the next omnibus to come out which is years after the last book in the series individually. At least with ebooks I d not have that issue.
that is one of the main reasons I switched to mostly ebooks, can't stand having differently sized books/colours/styles in a series.
I'm particularly miffed about the Time of Legends series. Really, really classy design to start with. Then suddenly went up a size, with wrap around art.....and they're not going to publish them any other way.
