Personally i find my ring rather.....precious as well......also for some reason i have started balding......
It's always time to grow a beard.
But with baldies, it just make it look like you put your head on upside down.
See, I can laugh at slapheads, because both my Dad and Brother are slapheads. Me, I got lucky. I got the hairy gene, so it's a full bonce of hair until I pop me clogs.
Just don't mention the grey....
I've now reached an age where my hairs been going grey longer than it hasn't...
How many shades of grey? 50?
I have two patches of white hair, but unless I tie it up in the wrong place you can't see either.
I'm going full silverback by the look of things.
Too short to bother dying it as well.
Two massive streaks. visibility varies depending on how the hair is brushed.
General scattering throughout the rest of the hair as well.
Huzzah!
My patches are small, so I don't need to worry about it.
Desk moved, morning wasted :)
I don't worry about it. I've earned every single one :D
More screen privacy post move?
No, less :(
Only here for 10 days before I move, again.
musical desks?
Essentially in 10 datys time I will be moving to within 2' of where I was originally sat, only there will be a new meeting room in front. They are doing massive refurb in the office :(

We are dealing the civil servants here. Far better to ignore the problem/hope it goes away. Though I do have two nice windows to look out at. The one already has my very wet cycling shoes drying. The other might be gaining my socks shortly.
Because I know everyone loves cycling news:

The one on the left is the Kaiser Cheifs' new album, the one on the left is the Sturmey Archer spares catalogue. I know you will all be familiar with Sturmey Archer, but Kaiser Cheifs are a pop act who stated that they just wanted to pay homage to Sturmey Archer. Of course I am sure a % of the album sales would have been more appropriate than homage.
The company's general manager, Alan Clarke, said: "I have worked for the company for more than 40 years and I have never known anything quite as blatant as this. We are used to this sort of thing from backstreet suppliers but did not expect it from such a big band.
They did not even contact us up front and they have not responded to questions posed since we were alerted by customers....A customer has suggested that the band should be re-named Kaiser Thiefs - which might not be grammatically correct but does reflect how we now feel."
So it is quite clear, Sam with the help of Merry and Pippin built the Pyramids to glorify the White wizard, whose rule covered all of the earth.
In other news, while the Pyramids were actually built (not the alternative guess work, which makes creation science seem plausable by comparison) mammoths were walking about!
Has.....has Cleggy just shown some kind of actual political nous??
He's called out Nigel Farage and his Immigration Garage for a debate about leaving the EU.
BUT WHY BUT WHY! It's not as if UKIP are ever going to get so much as a whiff of actual governmental power, and let's face it, we know who wears the political trousers in our inglorious ConDem Nation Government.
I'll tell you why. He's taking a fall. He is going to take one for the team. He's undermining the Tories he's been sucking up to for the past few years. He is going into this debate to get his butt kicked (which is some achievement, given Mr Farage essentially peddles jingoism and nowt else). He WANTS voters to defect from The Nasty Party to the nutters in UKIP. It likely such a shift will split the right wing vote enough to see both lose marginal seats....
Cleggy. I never thought you had it in you.
I think the biggest thing is they're underestimating what you can accomplish when you have a large supply of disposable labour and little regard for their welfare...
There's also a lot of colonial era arrogance in there (them, not you).
Seems the European Empires were utterly baffled that any culture could have exceeded them at any point in anything, and it permeated into edumacation, and continues to do so to this day.
People seem to think Pyramids are astoudning, but as you said, with enough slave labour, it's actually pretty straight forward when you think about it.
It wasn't even slave labour, it was sort of a draft system. Each village sent a bunch of men to the site to work for a season or to worksites to mine stone and such. People tend to forget that the human brain hasn't changed/hardly changed in a hundred thousand years or more, people in the past were not stupid, just uneducated and in ancient Egypt there was an educated class if they didn't have the same knowledge we have today. They knew an awful lot though and pyramid building, as the article says, was something that developed over millennia. From the brick mastabas to stone mastabas to the early proto-pyramids like the stepped pyramid of Djoser and the bent pyramid and finally the true pyramids. There is even a devolution as the kingdom could no longer sustain the expense of giant stone pyramids later ones became smaller and brick cored faced in stone.
The only way you can argue they weren't made by the Egyptian is being a giant ****ing moron.
Makes for a cool story though!
As a Fortean, I like to read about mad theories. But when you go about defacing and damaging irreplacable artefacts in an unde****able manner, it's time to get out of the game entirely and rethink your life.
I like them to be vaguely plausible though, like the Assassin-Templar war in Assassins Creed. It fits in well enough with history that you can ignore the silliness whereas von -Daniken and his ilks atlantis/aliens bull**** is just pure fantasy.
So what are you saying that Nigel Farrage wants to use these non-British cheap european workers to build great edificies that point to stars that owing to the procession of the earth no longer point in the right direction?
Do you think they've just been watching too much stargate?
Dunno.
But a cleaner has shown precisely the correct level of appreciation for a certain modern art exhibition
Perhaps this is the rule for "art" if you can't tell that you are looking at art it isn't art.
Obviously this still has issues that one person may consider a broken box art, whereas another will realise that they are in aldi...
Well you know me I do like to be liberal...
I totes approve, but also suspect insurance fraud honestly. 'forget' to tell the cleaners what the new art installation is and you have a perfect, unquestionable way of getting the payout as the cleaner will usually come right out and say they didn't know it was art. It happens too often and museums to do little to stop it. None of the cleaners where I work go into a room without knowing what is there and what they can clean and what they can't etc.
Or it was nothing but a publicity stunt, which to be honest looks likely
That too. Get ten thousand euros insurance money and a heap of free media attention.
All for claiming a load of old rubbish is in fact art.
I can imagine the sort of pretentious drivel praising it.
'It really makes you question the statement the artist is making. What is the message? What is he trying to tell us?'
Well, that's simple 'Crap crap crap. It's the exhibition in the next few days, and I keep on running into the same, huge lack of talent. Fornicate it. I'll just grab some stuff out the bins. They're artsy crowd, it's not like they'll call me out on it'
It is like the vases that were broken recently, how is it worth USD$1million? It was a simple vase, large yes I grant you but I could get something similiar from B&Q and apply a bad paint job to it for under £50...
Yup.
It's not as if it's a Ming dynasty, and thus possibly the sole example of it's kind remaining.
Blech. Modern Art. Blech.
A broken ming vase you say:
