I like Alex Salmond. Most successful politician UK has seen in a long old while. Took party from a bit of a joke, to in power, and has never promised what he cannot deliver (a referendum on independence, not independence itself).
Certainly puts the twonks in Westminster to shame!
He's currently promising keeping the pound and quick EU entry, both of which outside his ability to grant and at odds with your statement?
His views on the scottish currency just don't add up.
Of course, if Scotland does become independent then it makes it so much harder for Labour to win elections in the Former Democratic Republic of the United Kingdom and Overseas Territories.

Don't think it matters, as it's going to be a 'no' vote. He can then sail off into the sunset, head held high.
To be honest, he reminds me of a less machivellian Boris Johnson. He's dedicated to his electorate in the same way.
