I mainly use airbrush for priming with these paints but it works also with brush.

That's impressive*how colors change everything! I must confess*that I started to wonder where I was going with this crazy Mordheim*project. So much time and effort and still far from being playable. But as soon as I finished the first paint job on these ruins, the motivation came back instantly.
The result is nice and efficient, it's not Golden demon painting for sure but I'm satisfied with it.

For all the experts out there, what do you think? Any advice for my next XPS foam buildings?

Very nice table, and cool stuff on the blog :)
Thanks! I do my best to make this kid dream comes true ;)
I love working with wood, it's such a fantastic materials! I've done a few things in wood for the first module of the Malval table: two bridges, a fence, a stairs and a few ladders.
For painting, I mainly used the wash and filters of the wood weathering set from Ak-interactive* and it works very well I think.

Do you have other ideas of wood scenery I could make for this Mordheim table?

Voila! The first module of my modular Mordheim table is done and I'm quite happy of the result. Actually, taking the pictures and writing this article filled me with satisfaction. This is one of these moment in our hobby where you can pause for a minute and really appreciates all the hard work and dedication you put in your project. I'm very happy to have succeeded in achieving this intermediate hobby goal within the "Malval table project" and this makes me even more motivated for the three upcoming modules.

I still have plenty of details to add and paint but I will keep them for the very end of the project as I think this module is already good enough to see some actions!

That's really impressive. Excellent work!
Now that the painting of the first quarter of the table is done, I came back to some basic woodworking to make the structure of the three remaining modules.*To change a little bit, instead of making undergrounds, I made a few caverns for two of the modules.

So yes, I decided that the cavern needed some lightings. And thus, I went on the web looking how to install LED lightnings. I choose blue and red LED because I wanted to have a lugubrious unnatural atmosphere for this cavern that will be underneath the graveyard. Sounds very Mordheim to me ^^

I also took a video of the table but I didn't find an easy way to insert it here so I will post it on the facebook page if you want to see it.
I know it's hard to imagine the final effect, but what do you think of the LED colors? and also what color should I go for the cavern walls?
Kibo
Quick update today about the painting of the cavern underneath the graveyard. I went with a dark yellow color which I thought would be a good compromise to keep the cavern dark but not too much. With the LED lightnings on, this looks a little bit awkward but that's exactly the kind of feelings I imagine one Mordheimer would feel exploring this damned city.
