As long as there's a 'SHUT UP, WING MATES' button, I might just get a Wii U for that.
A mute slippy button is essential.
Elder Scrolls Online is 50% off on Steam apparently, kind of tempted to get it but not really sure.
I haven't tried it, kind of interests me, but I am suspicious that it can't offer what it claims to.
Yep. I keep thinking 'why not?' but then I remember it doesn't support mods, and a ES game without mods is like something without something integral to that something.
couldn't have put it better myself :p
:p
Aren't there still rumours it's going f2p?
I don't know, they dropped the monthly sub didn't they
I think so. But I'm sure I read something about them going free to play and spamming cosmetics to sell.
There have been rumours it would go F2P since it launched lol. Hopefully buying it now will give a premium version if it does happen to go F2P.
Ah, fair enough.
HP on a bacon butty is heresy. Bread, butter, bacon. The 3Bs intergral to a bacon butty.
And don't get me started on marmite
ESO is B2P. Just grab the core game and that's it. If you think of it like an ever-expanding single-player game, you won't be too disappointed. It does feel kind of odd, because it's almost familiar but not quite with how it works. Lack of fast travel like the normal TES games have can be a bit meh at times. It's not bad, but it's not exactly amazing either. At the right price, I'd say it's worth getting to provide some entertainment.
On the single-player MMO front, thought, SWTOR is probably a better option.
On a different note... I finally fired up This War of Mine on Sunday for the first time. My first game ended last night. It was kind of a disaster. Apparently I need to make weapons before beds, and arm everyone. Survivors get sad when they get raided, but also get sad when you go and take stuff from any location that other people are occupying. And if you have to get in a fight, your survivor will be mopey as heck. I might be able to make it work better on another attempt, but it's super-depressing and, added to the difficulty, that makes it not an ideal choice for just trying to relax after a long day at work. Even Cities: Skylines isn't that stressing.
That'll sell well over here :D
Aww yeah, my new pc arrives this afternoon
Not building yourself?
Was going to, but it just wasn't any cheaper for a good spec machine.
I suppose the shipping on every part adds so much to it?
Not too bad really, but I had a list of parts drawn up, then found a pre-built one maybe £100 more with roughly the same stuff. So I went for that as it had a warranty and stuff with it.
ah. :D
After much grinding last night I managed to get the rarest saints row 3 trophy :D
Fun
Yes searching for cars with passengers to take hostages is possibly the most exciting gameplay mechanic ever
yeah that does sound fun
oh dear

Though how old must it be looking at the consoles?
Not just looking at the consoles, but having split-screen... It seems a lot of the newer games have been dropping split-screen.
I like my X-Box 360 and One (and even the Wii, when it's not deciding to be dead), but acting like they're superior to a PC is silly. Yeah, I spent around a thousand dollars on my PC, but it's also so I can run two monitors, run a bunch of productivity programs without slowing down, and haven't have to upgrade in years, while still able to run games at really high graphics settings without issue. On my PC I can play games like This War of Mine, Cities: Skylines, Mordheim, Warmachine Tactics, the Total War series, most MMOs, indie games like Shoppe Keep or Game Dev Tycoon, and I can mod the heck out of games. I can also expand my storage easier and cheaper. My XBox One doesn't have many games on it but already has a good chunk of its hard drive used up. On PC I can switch between keyboard/mouse, controller, joystick, or steering wheel pretty easily, and have lots of options for each. Oh, and I can actually do all that productivity stuff on my computer.
Consoles are made for casual gaming. I like my consoles for that (and for using YouTube or Netflix on the couch), but it's silly to act like they're superior to PCs.
Anyone else play Luftrausers? I have been slightly addicted since it launched a couple of years ago
No but now I've been and looked what it is it reminds me of a sepia version of harrier attack from the commodore 64 with added weapon options. I played the **** out of that game but never got past level 3. Probably mostly cause I was probably about seven.
Also the wii U has possibly the most fun messaging system

seems legit
Absolutely thrashing my way through Freeblade at the moment, so have downloaded Plants V Zombies for the meantime.
Went back on fallout 4 for a couple of hours last night. They seem to have added a new quest to the cicular ones "Build defences at this settlement" which is ok but I've already built defences at my settlements so I just stand there for like three minutes and then it triggers 100% and then an attack by one one of the factions.
Seems one of the patches has added a few new odds and ends in the build menu as well. You can now live like a supermutant under canvas surrounded by bloody bags of body parts :D
pretty much. loads of options to kit your craft, all valid and fun, loads of combinations. steadily ramps up the enemies as you score more points. I finally managed to kill the blimp boss this evening, and what did I get for my troubles? hard mode. all the hard enemies from the beginning, in far greater numbers, and firing far more shots.
I fell like I'd need to find my joystick for this.
I am using an xbox one controller, but it is ok with keyboard too, you only have to go forwards, left right, and shoot
