Hm must check if we have a PS4 and if so, buy it.
'tis also coming out on the Xbox too :)
I think we may have a PS4, fairly sure we didn't end up getting an XBONE after all the fuss with it spying on you and whatnot. Wish they would make a PC version, seems like the sort of game which could really benefit from modding.
Also be good as I only have a pc :p
Called in at a mates last night and three of them were there playing Animal Crossing New Leaf, luckily I had mine with me as one of them was about to reset their town so I got to raid their house for goodies and got given six million bells they had laying around :D
must have been noisy in that house with six million bells
got Fallout 3 and New Vegas on Xbox, anyone know if the PC versions are massively better? any nice graphical mods, cool weapons etc?
Soooooooo many mods ^_^ also you can fix broken quests/bugs in the console if there aren't patches for them too :)
Yup, many mods andgraphical improvements.:) Get mine from Fallout Nexus and use Fallout Mod Manager 9not the Nexus one).
they are only like a fiver each to download now so I am tempted to play them again. quite fancy replaying 3, but apparently it is very buggy on windows 7 and 8
I've mostly played New Vegas, but 3 seemed to work ok on Windows 7 for me.
way too many pages of mods, what do people use?
I didn't mod FO3, but for NV (on my old laptop so don't have all the names): Nevada Skies (must have imo), Electro City, Wasteland Flora Overhaul, one that adds fast travel markers inside the strip, one that makes companions put on casual outfits on the strip, Populated Casinos, Advanced Recon Stealth Armor (armoured dusters for the cowboy look without the dying), Unlimited Companions, Authentic Burned Man for Honest Hearts), and some gear mods like night vision goggles for the darker nights of Nevada Skies.
First off:
1. Nexus mod manager (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/modmanager/?) - helps manage mods
2. F:NV script extender (http://nvse.silverlock.org/) - needed for some more complex mods
3. MTUI (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34902/?) - UI to improve text on convesations and other menus
4. Project Brazil (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/45138/?) - complete conversion to make "Fallout: Brazil"
5. (Project Nevada (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/40040/?) - I don't like this but it is "popular" but makes fallout more of a FPS game )
A couple of lighting and texture packs too...
downloaded 3 first, been ages since I played it. will get New Vegas this week I expect
Unfortunately I played both of those on the console...
I did too originally, but after seeing how much better Skyrim is on PC, and a Fallout discussion taking place on a different forum, I want to try it.
Fallout is brilliant, NV is more fallout than fallout 3
what I really want is a Fallout with the depth and quality of Skyrim. I prefer the Fallout setting, but Skyrim is of significantly higher quality in my opinion, more variety, more quests, better terrain variation, graphics...
I want less czervidor (or whatever they're called) and less deathclaws.
deathclaws are pretty nasty. especially when you are a full blown stealth character and you open a door and there is a deathclaw revealed right behind it, inches away from you...
The hardcore mode in NV makes the usual defence of ****loads of stimpaks not very viable either
Also give a point to sailsbury steaks
well after playing about all afternoon with mods for 3, FOOK and FOSE wont work, the main two I seem to need, and the game suffered two major PC resetting crashes before I even got out of vault 101 -.-
That's not good :(
You have got the upto date patch? The release version was apparently unplayable.

It is the latest version, but just doesn't work. Keeps crashing, at one point a crash wiped all the saves as well and I had to start again. Steam and Bethesda both had suggestions for making it work with windows 8 but nothing has worked.
Ah, windows eight...
It is a good OS, and usually very good for backwards compatibility. But Fallout is so hideously buggy at the best of times that it is just too much.
Once patch3ed up the only issues I had was with the whole bad mods.
There is a skin mod that turns everyone into 40k peeps.

Yeah I am going to look at the mods. It is crashing every time the assault rifle is reloaded so going to remove the high res weapon texture and see if that makes a difference.
deleted the weapon high res texture pack and that seemed to work for a good 45 minutes. then it just crashed again. I have given up and moved on to New Vegas, installed a load of mods with that and so far it has worked perfectly.
I do like it when you reach Nipton and are in a position to kill the Legion there. nothing worse than not being strong enough at that point to kill them all.
the Nevada skies mod is interesting, I liked the dust storm first time it sprung up, but you seem to get at least one every half hour, so between that and pitch black nights I have spent half the game being unable to see a damn thing, which gets old. the rain and lightning looks awesome though.
you could change the ingame time to match real time to make it less frustrating. That and music packs for the pipboy
well I decided to pick up Destiny today. enjoying it so far, but I haven't gotten as far as the end of the Beta so far. IGN are reporting the total play time as 18 hours, which I find pretty astonishing for an MMO type game. people reached the level cap on launch day which again, thinking in MMO terms, is ludicrous. but Bungie have lately been telling everybody that it is not in fact an MMO. despite being a large online multiplayer only game...
the main issue it threw up was telling me my PS4 hard drive is full. I have I think nine disk based games and maybe a dozen download games, and have filled the standard hard drive. which basically means that giving a console like that a 500gb hard drive is a nonsensical waste of time. I had planned to buy a 1TB replacement but clearly that would be a waste of time as well, need a minimum of 2TB to get any sort of decent life span out of it.
Ooh ouch on Destiny :/ sounds like they were trying for Halo co-op type thing but built it like an MMO and got neither. A lot of early talk has been rather subdued which is a shame.
