Dunno dude.
As I have a PS3 and a PS4, I get monthly free games for each.
And it's not silly app type games. It's proper games.
Not bad at all for a piffling £40!
If I get a PS Vita (no plans to) then that gets free games as well.

its literally not free by definition, and you only get what you're given, you don't get to pick!
exactly. there are loads of great indie games free too, I have dozens already.
and you're paying for services freely available elsewhere
available freely on other things. free on PC has no real bearing on anything else. you can't just say 'oh, instead of spending £40 a year I shall spend £1,000 on a PC then I shall game online for free. that will show them.'
You know you don't need to spend anywhere near that to beat a console. If you put a second hand gtx 660ti you can probably do it for sub £400.
And you lose all these freebies the moment you stop paying the subscription don't you?
a sub £400 PC wont beat a console. and it will need upgrading, whereas the PS4 and Xbox One will last far longer. You lose the PS4 freebies until you renew your subscription, Xbox freebies are free forever
I disagree. you certainly don't need to spend anywhere near a grand, and if something does break you don't need to replace everything.
there is no getting round the fact that PC gaming is massively more expensive than console gaming
It really isn't in any manner what so ever.
