If you have a sewing machine you can do a lot of stuff yourself when it comes to cosplay but if you want something like armour (that looks nice...) or power armour/sci-fir armour type stuff then it gets tricky. As gott says a lot of people are prop makers who take commissions, but it can get quite expensive. Quality can vary too, the really good prop makers can suddenly find themselves getting television or film orders as well which means just when you think you've found a reliable source for such things they are too busy to do stuff for you for ages.><
