yeah that thing about the trucks full of coins for settlement wasn't true unfortunately. I wish it was, it would be amazing.

I'll pretend I didn't read that.
N@zi gold!
That reminds me, tehre is a new Wolfenstein game being released this year I think?
The New Order, yes. :D
Might get it (despite the male protagonist:p) if the reviews are decent. Grew up playing Wolfenstein.
It's a lead-on from the last game.
yeah I am kind of looking forward to Wolfenstein, or at least the idea of it. but the last one wasn't terribly well received, so it is more a 'wouldn't it be nice if it were good' than real hope.
my replacement Wii U came today. and they sent the wrong one. going to order it on the website on payday.
going to have to get Goat Simulator, it looks majestic...

I didn't get a chance to play it, it looked okay. No Metro 2033 though. (which had a similar theme, less tech)Quote:

I hope there were fists involved.Quote:

Also, my friend just posted this trailer on Facebook. What a coincidence. :p
Some amusing tid-bits from surfing the pooter game nets.
Titanfall will force all cheaters to play together away from non-cheaters!

Today, Bethesda announced Wolfenstein: The New Order Panzerhund Edition, which includes almost everything you’d want in a fancy, pricey special edition of a game. For $100, you’ll get a footlocker-style box containing an assortment of maps, case files, and an x-ray. You’ll also get the obligatory figurine, an 8-inch, hand painted statue of a robotic dog, which you’ve probably seen in trailers and other marketing. The only thing missing in the special edition is the game itself.
Surely if it doesn't include the game it isn't a special edition of the game at all, rather just a box of related merchandise/tat?
That's what I thought too, most peculiar.
Dead Space is free on Origins until May...
Boooooo. Origin.
Why does everyone hate Origin? Besides the fact it is EA, I've never had any issues with it.
Because I want my games in one place...
That's not what EA wants.
Edit: Well, actually it is because they just want you to buy EA games, but you know what I mean.
The only problem I've had with it was they screwed up something so it caused ME3 multiplayer to crash upon entering the lobby which was a pain in the bum but they fixed it. Franky I have more concerns over how Steam sales devalue games in the minds of consumers than about Origin. Of course I still buy from steam sales so whatever.
HA!
Charity auction sunday evening.
Saw an unknown box of metal gear solid goodies go for £550.
several other boxes from game companies went for the hundreds of pounds.
Quite surprised that people were willing to bid so much blindly.
Goat Sim goes live today!
Hah. Oh Half Life 3...
thoroughly recommend Luftrausers, new favourite game. while I wait for my Wii U to arrive at the very least.
It is highly addictive, cool graphics, music, loads of weapons and gear, great fun.

Luftrausers is that sort of arcadey bullet-hell type game isn't it? Looked interesting, might have another look if you say it's good.
it is yeah, I am enjoying it.
so, after my initial Wii U being faulty and the replacement being the wrong one, the new Wii U I ordered from the website has been lost by the courier between the Birmingham depot and the Isle of Man...
You aren't having much luck with this are you?
none whatsoever

After a long break from it, put a good six hours or so into E:TW yesterday.
Started entirely at peace. four independents promptly declare war. Gobbled two up straight away, other two in central america still exist purely by geography, they still have armies approaching them. Then Russia decided to attack me.
First three territories bordering my eastern borders surrendered. Sweden promptly petitioned for an alliance and invaded northern Russia. In the south I've passed Crimea.
I have an army consisting of 6xguards regiments 2xLifeguards 4xGreenjackets and filled out with line infantry approaching Moscow :D
Playing CivV(G+K) playing with Germany and I've turned into a warmonger :(, which on one had is fun but everyone hates me. I've won several cities through peace before I got my army to the fight, which was useful. Though really struggling to get my happiness up to positive numbers.

The worst gaming goat since that one in Broken Sword. This is a dumb, limited novelty game that's not worth the asking price.
Still not played enough Civ5.
Not played any G&K at all.
I just don't seem to have the mindset for on going long campaign games anymore. I'm kinda in the place where I can just turn my brain off for a couple of hours and shoot people in the face... It's why I'm still in my "first" E:TW campaign, well the closest I've come to finishing one anyway. I started a few others to get hang of it, see whats new and all that, but this is first proper go.
I quite enjoyed a bit of Goat Simulator. it needs more content for the price certainly, and a better tutorial on how to actually do some of the stuff, but it has had some hilarious moments.
I've been playing the marathon game mode, so each age is about the length of a normal game. Things cossts much more and take much longer to build/research. but always means that you need a massive army to defeat the barbarians who are crazy.
I enjoy Civ 5, I am also playing as Germany, and currently I am a very popular person. Probably not when I roll onto modern era and start building my Panzer legions. :D
