So here I am in Kuala Lumpur on vacation refreshing my browsers whenever I get wifi.
These rumors make me hurt for my Nids. I'm so happy I have 40 feeder tendril genes gathering dust for another X years.

Oh obviously not, but I wouldn't be surprised if Manticores were nerfed in some form when IG are updated. Still, that thing for 130 points, on top of it being a T6 W6 3+ monster, is still crazy you have to admit.
I guess it depends on when the Mawloc attack is done.
Sounds like even with the 30 Termagant requirement and Tervigon points increase, our top build will still be crazy good. We will spit out some meta-changing builds I'm guessing, and most of the units got better - particularly the monsters. Still.....not a lot of changes that needed to happen, and some ridiculous nerfs.
Too early to be saying if anything has been Nerfed matey.
Depends entirely on how well it works as an army overall.
If I'm right in thinking, most stuff is (rather predictably) getting a points decrease. This means less awkward choices when creating your list, which opens up other, arguably more interesting builds.
Take Catalyst. It now grants the caster FnP as well as the target unit. I may well be wrong (not read me Nid book for ages), but that's a nice little addition. Two Tervigons can now potentially, in a single turn, and with great ease, provide four lots of FnP, and poop out some additional bugs.
Trygons most definitely got a nerf, there's no disputing that. Their combat effectiveness dropped significantly with only a minimal points decrease. The only thing that would make anyone want one over a Mawloc now is if the Trygon Tunnel works as it originally should have.
I'm aware of how Tyranids work, that doesn't mean some of these signs aren't bad. Tyrannofexes, Flyrants, Carnifexes dropping 40-60 points is amazing, etc. Still, no doubt that there are quite a few disappointments already.
As far as Catalyst goes, just remember that Tervigons don't have it stock.
They nerfed sycthing talons again? I missed those extra attacks. Anyway I would wait till the codex comes out to judge from fact rather than theory.
The Mawlock I think is the most annoying rule set to come forth from GW. It irritated me that people thought it was way better than it was. As long as nids really don't have reliable beacons it's ok and really have to be taken in 3s to be really effective due to mishaps, although 6th have made them better.
Price dropping and ignoring saves is a so what to me really. If it misses it's mark it usually dies a rather horrible death. It reminds me of flamers of Tzeentch with less chance of going off and cost much more.
Personally I think a trigon and a tyrannofex is better. Sadly I ran flame dropping flamers of Tzeentch from day one, before it became the in thing to do, but never bothered with the Mawlock.
It's still a lot of worry about relatively little.
We've not seen anything to confirm the Trygon has lost attacks. We have someone with the book saying it has. And that's it.
He may be wrong. He may be right. He may be leg pulling. He may be on the level.
As for not getting bonus attacks - if I'm right in thinking, nobody has actually confirmed that. It's based on extrapolated/assumed data.
A 120 point Carnifex, or a 130 point Mawloc?
There's a reason I'm jumping up and down about them. They're so darn cheap now, tough for their cost, and damaging as heck if they hit. Not to mention they will still destroy most regular infantry and vehicles in combat. Having Ignores Cover on their attack will be awesome for getting rid of Aegis Line camping units.
But really, I think the best thing I've seen so far is the 205 point Flyrant with two brain leech devourers. 55 point drop, lost Biomancy, otherwise stayed the same. Craaazzyyy.
OHHHH I can't wait to see if the spods stay! It would be sooooo weird when they are destroyed in the fluff!!! How the hell do tyranids then land on planets??? (If they say that hive ships land on the world itself, then im gong to stop playing tyranids......)
The only thing that's not completely killing Nids for me is the points costs. As long as the prices are good, I don't care if they're not equally comparable stat for stat with a Riptide.
