Hi folks, I have decided to man up and upload some of my work over the next few days/weeks, all C&C welcome and appreciated. The first one I'm uploading is Astaroth the grim, I,m reasonably happy with it but I know it still needs some finishing so any guidance appreciated

Feels like it needs a bit more shading around the bony areas, particularly where the face meets the hair.
I like the blue wings but would make the purity seals slightly darker.

Thanks, I figured as much on the shading but in the past have gone overkill so im gonna build up the shading really gently, was thinking of using awatered down badab black wash, do you think that would be too dark ? if so what would you suggest? any help appreciated

I would go with devlan mud, ogryn flesh or a mix of the two. Black is a bit dark for such a light area but would be fine for the hair.
Despite what GW say, I agree that watered down is definitely better unless you want really extreme shading.
To aide red use thraka green.. If you want an example of how it looks check out my thread "dukes blood angels"

A light wash on the skin would really add some Depth. Devlan for a Darker grittier look or Ogryn for a more fleshy tone.

So this is my version of Comander Dante, modeled using mostly sanguianary guard parts. I did really I really dont like the Dante minature from GW, it really needs an update in my opinion.
I've rebased it and dumped the jetpack infavour of a standard pack with wings, i also took the two handed axe from the kit and adjusted the arm and shaft to make it look more natural.
I'll be first to admit as models go its hardly a huge leap from the original sprue build but I'm pleased with it all the same,I still have a lotta tidying to do with this before paint but anyway any C&C welcome

I like it... I plan on doing the same thing when I get around to Dante. The old one is so easily overcome by the new sang guard box.
