Matt outta nowhere!

Just goes to show the power of:

a) people giving out rerolls left and right, and
b) making sure you're on the objectives at the sharp end of the game

I certainly wasn't expecting to win, if I'm being honest.

But I think I accidentally did some smart things (and got way too many rerolls from chat lol).
Keeping myself hiding in the back until the last turn then swooping in at the last turn for the victory. Still, a bunch of the rerolls were to save Spiderman who died anyway and didn't hold the objective so at least some of them arguably didn't really affect the outcome.

Either way, I think would have been okay regardless. If my one Dire Avenger Exarch had died, I could still hold the objective with the Wave Serpent. But, I dunno. Maybe not.

One thing I've noticed after my game with Jenn and the game today is I don't give myself the opportunity to use deep strikers to grab objectives. I could have done what Abe did and landed my Dark Reapers and maybe Spidermen on top of the tower and attempted to hold the objective up there and had cover while under fire. But with markerlights denying cover, maybe that wouldn't have been worth it. Who knows?

From the beginning, I should have focused the tower more, realizing it's the easier target than the objective literally covered in T'au. Rather than focus fire on his backline blob then moving over to fire on the fire warrior tower. Widdling down his main fire blob probably didn't do all that much really. I'm not sure I even fully wiped a unit.

I certainly did not do the Aeldari service. I barely used any strategems and I don't think my Alaitoc -1 to hit ability I did not fully utilize through positioning. Didn't have time to really prepare like I've tried to start doing pre-battle.

Anywho, this has been a ramble.
