Well, I'm thinking of modeling a figure that would ONLY ever be used in this formation...
The Titanhammer formation says that a squad has to all have TH/SS, but 1 model may be upgraded to carry a heavy weapon. So, I've actually (somehow) got a spare terminator with a cyclone launcher and put a TH/SS on it.
Legal? Illegal? Nuts? What was intended? He'll probably be painted up as Deathwatch (chapter TBD)

Illegal weapon option, if my trusty internet brosef with his lack of a codex is to be believed.

He's usually p. good about such things.

Not true--- the Deathwing and Wolf Guard can take Cyclone Launchers with Thunder Hammer and Storm Shields.

Every Model must have Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield--- if you can take a Cyclone Launcher, then you may do so.

It's a Apoc formation; I think the whole point is to go balls to the walls and forget the normal rules or restrictions.
I mean, we're talking about a playing system in which you're allowed to just make up your own units anyways.

Well heh. I guess he's now a terrible poster.

Learn something new etc.

I agree---

Most of my favorite 40k Experiences have come from WELL ORGANIZED Apocalypse Games. If you came up with a cool idea, and wrote rules that had been peer reviewed (as in your future opponents) and approved, you could use it.

Well, not much to write up. It's a regular assault terminator with TH/SS, add 30 pts for the cyclone. The number allowed is already listed on the formation.

So Tynskel, do you go to Purdue or just live down there?

I love writing up rules for Apocalypse, and I agree with Tynskel - my favorite gaming experiences in 40k have all been in well-organized Apocalypse games.

Just started back in June for Grad school--- in fact, classes start today. Will I have time for warhammer ever? I don't know...

Tynskel - there is a pretty large group of us that play in Lafayette. PM me if you want more details.
