Does a model with a power fist double his strength with the Furious Charge +1 Strength Bonus. Does my space marine with a power fist double his strength to 10 (and not the usual 8) when under the spell of my Sanguinary Priest?

According to the rulebook, your space marine with a powerfist becomes S9, as you multiply before adding. So S4x2=8+1str=9.

Sadly no. The FC bonus comes after the Power Fist doubling, but S9 is not really something to worry about as opposed to 10 :D

Order of operations. Multiply, then add.

Yeah, because wounding on 2's is different than wounding on 2's.... Or instant killing T4 models is different with strength 9 rather than strength 8....

Waits for it....

Ah, but he also ignores 2+ saves with a Str 9 Power Fist:rolleyes:

one of the main reasons people try to make this strength 10 id thunder wolf calvery or ID T5 creatures.

Though it only goes to 9

You can only ever have S10 max, unless you're talking about busting vehicles. You can have an equivalent S11 for vehicle punching (S10 + Tank Hunters) but that's only due to the wording of the Tank Hunters ability affecting the roll for armor penetration.

Thank You, Link! By the time/date tags, it took far too long for someone to get that one. :)

Or some of us got it and didn't bother posting a response since it wasn't relavent to the thread and could end up derailing the discussion.

Dude, the question was answered in the second post. There were a couple more posts confirming it, but after that there's nothing left to talk about except joking around:p.

In fact, this thread isn't so much derailed as plummeting to the ground after the tracks went over the edge of a cliff. Everyone might as well enjoy the fall as the tread inevitably crashes into oblivion.

Don't be dull, pedantry is only amusing when backed up with scathing witty sarcasm.
