Perhaps we're all just watching our words in case we end up in Aldrahillmech's Forum Burp...no wait, that isn't a bad thing! I have no idea then.

It'll pick up. The week before big cons is always a little quiet. Also the long summer of no 40K releases is takings its toll... But w'ere working our way through the Fantasy window...

I am painting like mad as well, I have a J=Khorne Tower of Skulls to finish for Golden Daemon for the 40K vehicle section.

It is 3/4 painted and I still have to get the base finished and then painted. I want to use 4-5 skull packs and cut up plasticard to represent fragments of skulls crushed by the tanks tracks. Add in some fine white sand with the fragments to be the dust. A GW hobby specialist suggested I put som white snow effects or something similar to represent the fine skull dust on the tanks treads, but I will experiment withthe effect before I commit to this.

I also have painting for 2 of my mates to finish as well. About 12 Battlemechs, 10 tanks, and 30 squads of Battle Armour. As usual, they want them yesterday.

Between casual work as a Construction/ Telecommunications Riggerand all the painting, I am getting less time to go online. Maybe once a night for 1/2 an hour.

Is anyone else painting minis for Golden daemon?

This is a photo from May. I now have just 6 of the Administatum building panels and the rear armour to pain and it is done, - oh and the base. So many hours constructing, and painting it. It better be worth it in the end.

The forum has always been quiet, as the posting traffic here is very low.

Also, it seems the typical posting trolls have slowed down their ePeen post counting ways as well. Let's see how long that lasts.

busy prepping for the summer hols(going sea side and 2 festivals), and trying my damnedest to write up a 750 list for my first ever tourney(its really hard to choose what to take, but ill start a thread once i get some lists written), turning dark elves and SM scouts into noviciates (mel would love the irony of turning marines into SoB), and repainting the stunties for a warhammer campaign(again, ill prolly start a thread later on my lists etc.). so yeah, busy!

It's been deafly quiet in the writer's lounge... I mean I enjoy having the champagne slip-n-slide and caviar hot tub all to myself, but it gets boring after a while...

... Why did I opt out of WargamesCon this year? Why?

Oh well... Suppose I'll just have to wait for DragonCon...

awsome, should be a WoT presence there too, as the new book is released in october(in old blighty anyway), and i know they have stands/seminars etc. at a dragoncon, probably this one. we dont really get cons over here(only the sort you dont want at your door).

Can't speak for anyone else, but my "talk about tactics" time has been spent trying to get a few articles ahead since I became an authorSELFPLUG (http://www.baldandscreaming.com/).

But seriously, there's not much going on in 40kland right now. Though I imagine if anyone wants an article they've written to receive a decent amount of attention, right now is the time to post it on the forums.

Wait....you don't have electricity in the UK?? Or is it all of Europe?!?!

Personally I much more enjoy the fall and to a lesser extent the spring than the summer. This year its been nothing but cycles of: Extremely damp/muggy and hot for 4 days, rain for 2 days, sunny with cool breeze for an hour, muggy/damp for 4 days...rinse and repeat.

But to be honest I don't see what the fuss is about summer anyway. I just don't enjoy the heat, and would rather be outside in the months where its actually enjoyable! Then again you have girlfriends/wives who go wild at the thought of laying out there for hours...so you don't have a choice ;)

Anyways, I have actually been on BoLS more often since summer started since I work a desk job all day. It kind of balances out the boredom of work with some nerd goodness.

No electricity. And all our wheels are still square. And the sun still goes round the earth and we actually still burn our heretics at the stake...

No but in seriousness i don't like painting by electric light. Either its slightly yellow so gives false colours or its very directional and give false shadows. The friend who taught me to paint in the first place taught me that, and i've just always kinda stuck to it.

I just started getting into CoD:4:2, and am anticipating Blazblue: Continuum Shift for the Xbawks.

I still do Warhammer every few weekends.

Not that I post much anyways. :p

Most threads aren't even worth replying to, because they get so bogged down with trolls (I don't mean you Buffo. Seriously. You're awesome.), self-important BS and people who take the game too seriously in general.

Painting.

The house, mostly. Not plastic.

Though some of that did get done as well.

Though painting US Woodland BDU camo is starting to be quite a pain in the arse...

I'm still here, TC.

A bit fried from a weekend of drinking, blasting Megadeth and Iron Maiden on the stereo, and browsing Suicide Girls pics.

And also, watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Great movie.

It's been so quiet lately that it's starting to remind me of the part in World War Z where the kid in Japan is relating his story and how as the zombie problem kept growing slowly he'd see less and less people on the internet, presumably at his choice of forums, because people were being turned into...zombies.

I have to agree that the move sounds like it's going to be awesome. I love the zombie genre and World War Z and the first book, The Zombie Survival Guide, are just awesome. I recommend them.

I work nights now, so my forum surfing has pretty much been limited to lurking. I have started spending more time at the battle bunker! 3k on 3k battles are ridiculous(ly fun!)

Slowly expanding and planning my rat boys has become time consuming and cumbersome. Which somehow makes no sense seeing how the box set will practically finish my army.

Oh well, next week I move to second shift so I can contribute practically nothing instead of absolutely nothing...
